Love this addition to my craft room. It is wonderful for making envelopes once you figure out how to use it. I did watch a YouTube video which helped considerably. A bone folder is used with this device. It works well as long as you are careful not to push too hard on the point. Then it will tear your paper. Hold it a little more parallel instead of holding it straight up and it works fine.

Great large size 12 X 12. Big enough for larger projects. Built in scoring tool holder so it's perfect for keeping up with it! It also has an envelope/angle tool built in too! The measurement are clear and easy to read. This Bira Craft 12 x 12 was the best price for a large scoring board I could find so I purchased it but once I received it, I was even happier. Very sturdy, attached tools and perfect for my scoring needs.

I've been stashing up on junk journaling supplies and, even though I wasn't sure this would come in handy, it really had and it's been a nice, sturdy quality. I love that the small tool goddess in the back of it. Simple, but effective.

I have been searching for so long to find the perfect score board and I finally found it. Why I love it...Black raised measurement markings, perfect depth to the score, envelope maker stored in the back and Score tool storage. That's a lot to love. It's sturdy and stable. Im so happy right now!

Purchased this item on request of a maker in the home after researching several brands of scoring boards. Bottom Line Up Front: This is a solidly made, injection molded part, with several points of quality control that make scoring accurately pretty easy with reasonably steady hands. The envelope/paper box jig is a wonderful addition, taking a simple device and turning it into a much more versatile tool. The scoring knife is a point of concern, and SI/metric user should probably look elsewhere. TL;DR: This will be broken down into Good, Bad, Ugly format. The Good: This scoring board is an injection molded component. It includes both SAE and SI scales of measuring to the 1/8" and 1mm scales, respectively. The board also contains integrated storage for the scoring knife and envelope/paper box jig. When the board says 12 in. x 12 in., it's actually that amount. The board has final stops at 12+1/8" x 12+1/8", so makers doing scrap booking can be assured that their pages will fit. The envelope/paper box jig works well. After some trial and error, custom and standard sized envelopes of pretty much any size up to A6 could be made without issue (please note: custom envelope sizes may not go through the postal service at a standard rate, and package rates may apply). The Bad: The largest concern about this product is the scoring knife. Made of what appears to be a form of nylon, minor wear is evident after a few dozen scores. The knife is clearly the wear item on this, and replacements don't appear readily available. That said, there's no reason one couldn't use another knife to score, however the profile will need to match the scoring lines or be somewhat narrower so not to dig into the grooves. The Ugly: For those in need of metric units, this does have it, but the manufacturer didn't bother to fill them in with a contrasting color. As such, it's very difficult to see them, and modification will be required (see attached photo) to have a usable metric scale. Combined with the misalignment between the grooves and the SI measuring it was enough to knock a full star of the product. Do note that the 1/8" grooves is about 3.2mm each, so the conversion doesn't play well. This is an SAE product in the end. I would double the stars if I could! Not only do I love the scoring board, but their customer support is amazing! The triangle piece was missing some of the numbers. Within a week of contacting them, I received a replacement part. They were extremely kind and responded quickly. Definitely a brand I will buy from again.

I have 3 score boards plus a paper cutter that scores. This one, not the most expensive, works so well. It is accurate and really easy to use. I like it so much better than the others. The scoring tool is why it’s so easy to use and accurate. Very easy to hold. Go ahead spend the money. It’s worth every penny.
