Another love!!
Once again Kelly tries her hand at solving a murder while fingering the colorful yarns at the knitting shop. I think I enjoy the colorful descriptions of the fibers as much as her sleuthing.

Another Colorful Mystery Yarn
Maggie Sefton continues her fascinating Colorado knit shop adventure through the eyes of Kelly - the "visitor from DC" who originally came to handle her aunt's estate - and still has not left. Through this, her third murder to solve. As a knitter, but moreso as any hobbyist, the descriptive scenes of addictive personalities to their hobby choice is universal, no matter if it is golf, photography, wood working, needlepoint or knitting. The "need" to partake of the craft every day is paramount and very much a part of the story. Perhaps it is because the knit shop provides a meeting place for the sundry characters or maybe it is the tenacity of completing the task that is common place in all the characters. However, Sefton's ability to describe the color, the texture and the allure is great reading, whether it be the yarn or the changing of leaves. Sefton has the gift of writing what she wants you to see and feel successfully. The development of the characters throughout her books is important to the story line, moreso than the solution to the murder. Sefton is fun to read because she provides the light entertainment we all need at times, the description phrases that comfort your nestling sense and just enough mayhem to keep things rolling. A fun and fast read - you do not have to be a knitter to enjoy.

I like to get away from the everyday world and be entertained. This book was well written and kept me interested as to The Who-did-it aspect. The characters seem so real and people that I would like to know. They have their up and down problems like I do. Carl adds a bit of humor also.

great cozy mystery for the avid knitter
If I'm not knitting wool, I'm spinning it or weaving it. When I take the time to read, if I don't read a non-fiction about something in the fiber arts, I read a mystery novel. This is another good Maggie Sefton mystery and it kept me reading it every free moment I could spare. I won't spoil anything for you, but I'll say this: buy this book and read it and give it on to a knitter friend.

An apparent suicide disturbs Kelly
This is the third book in the Knitting Mystery series. Kelly and Megan are on their way to take Allison, a fiber artist, to the airport to start a prestigious internship. When they arrive, they find her dead, of an apparent overdose. Megan cannot believe that her friend would kill herself, so they begin to investigate to find out if this was murder. There are many potential suspects including jealous students and a bad boyfriend. On a personal note, Kelly is struggling with her plans to return back to corporate life and her old home or making the leap and staying. She is also just in the early stages of a relationship with Steve. Of course, knitting plays a key role in the story, and the book includes a pattern at the end.

Another enjoyable sleuthing tale.
Rich descriptions of the country side, food, friendship and glorious yarns. Her delight in colours and textiles helps move the plot along. Characters are developed along familiar themes making it gentle easy reading.

Awful!
Mind Numbingly boring. I began to think the author must have had a bet on to see how many times she could use the words 'sleuthing' and 'brother'. It was at best a weak story. It is a rare thing for me not to finish a book and I really tried but I got half way through and finally accepted this was not going to get any better. Definitely not the authors finest hour.

If you enjoy 'cosy' crime you will probably enjoy this, especially if you like knitting too. I want to have the House of Lambspun as my local yarn shop. I love the whole series and they are now being read an enjoyed by my daughter

Another Triumph
Both for the author and her star 'detective' Kelly Flynn. Another great read in a series of excellent books. I thoroughly recommend it. Great plot, good characters, knitting and coffee. What more could you ask for?
