It's a good quality axe, but I was looking for an axe that was made in the United States. When I got it I was disappointed to see India stamped on the axe head. The axe was put together in the US from parts made in different locations. Knowing it was at least put together in the US is better than nothing but I was trying to buy something truly made in America so I felt a little let down

I was impressed at how ergonomic it is and happened overall. I sharpened it up and had no issue splitting wood. Looks great and feels great in hand.
