REVISED REVIEW:The leak kept getting worse. Bottle became worthless. Threw it out after 3 weeks. Waste of money. :-(ORIGINAL REVIEW:GOOD: Cute SMALL hot water bottle. Felt sturdy. Almost zero smell to plastic after first two uses (I have sensitivities). BAD: .... TINY intermittent LEAK -- originated in stopper/thread region. Filled, turned upside down ... and occasionally get a leak of a few drops .... open and reseal it ... seemed resolved/fixed. Usually that was all needed to resolve. BUT ... three times .... after using it for a short while suddenly there were 5 or 10 drops of water from near the stopper again.HOW I used it: My tap water is only 125 degrees Fahrenheit maximum. Filled bottle 75% full and gently pressed out excess air before adding stopper. I do not put my body weight on the bottle. Under heavy bed covers, against you, it will stay warm for maybe 5-6 hours. Not as long as my other bigger bottles, but good enough.Thoughts on WHY the leak: Do the threads in the neck possibly not match up perfectly with the stopper? Do the threads or stopper slightly give under a little pressure, or heat expansion, that creates an intermittent leak like this?Otherwise, I like it. It is far smaller than all my other hot water bottles (3 different German brands: Hugo Frosch (my favorite - non-latex), Fashy (least favorite due to change of product over years - non-latex), and Sänger (XXL - the only rubber / latex model - my second favorite.). Despite this model being quite small, it is a useful size ... good size to travel in the car, carry in tote bag, for example ... but the leak concerns me that it could turn into an emptying of the contents and make a mess. (If you've ever had a full sized water bottle leak into your furniture - you will understand my hesitation. It isn't just a matter of wiping up water, some furniture and mattresses do not dry out well. Two Fashy models did that to me after they were over a year old. If you use them in bed - get a waterproof mattress cover just in case a bottle empties itself.)

This is my first time using a hot water bottle. I wanted something to use at work for pain, since I have both endometriosis and interstitial cystitis. I decided to go with the 1 liter instead of the 2 liter, so that it would be more discreet to use at my desk. So far it works great. It keeps the heat at least three hours, though I do need to remove the sleeve after about two hours to keep getting heat. I'm able to use it while sitting at my desk for pelvic pain.No leaking so far. This seems to be a quality product and I haven't noticed any bad smell with the plastic.

My hands are always cold in winter time and a hot water bottle is a great help. Since my last one started leaking, I decided to search for a replace. I was first attracted by the size of this product - its small size fits me and easy to carry. The real product I received is exactly like what described. Both bottle and cover are good quality and I don't smell anything. I've used it once and it worked very well! The only minus I think is the color option of the cover. However overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect size for me. The one Liter is half the size of the 2L Amazon sells here. Very convenient to travel with. The knitted cover is super nice. Recommend!

Nice hot water bag for cold weather. It never leaks. The cover is made by soft fabric. I think it’s cotton.Although the manufacturer claims the size is 1 liter, it actually holds up 750 ml of water.
