Best lock I have ever used, e-bike 2 locks works great

I had to graduate from a simple cable lock for my beat-up hybrid bikes to something a little more secure for a modern Class 3 E-bike. This folding lock is moderately secure, enough for shorts stops and more where I ride. The length is sufficient to lock a bike frame around a good size post or other sturdy object, and simple to operate. While it's not light, it's not ridiculously heavy. Most importantly, it easily fits into the side pocket of a small rear rack bag. The lock itself is coated with a soft material so it won't scar your bike during use. Not as secure as a U-lock, but more versatile. And not as heavy or as bulky as a similar size chain lock. Seem like a good compromise between security and weight for those riding in a rural or suburban environment or for short stops for lunch or shopping.

Good solid little lock that fits nicely on a bike. The way it is designed it easy to use for relative safety anywhere around town. I would not recommend this for use in a really threatening, high crime neighborhood. I feel that this would not provide the "ultimate" protection you are looking for, but for the rest of us going to school and work that want to park our bike for a couple of hours around a pole and simply don't want a teenage boy walking away with our bike. This is great and easy to use. Also if you have multiple locks, the keys are numbered so you can keep them straight from one another...

I am rating the lock not Amazon's delivery, so I'll give it 5 stars. The lock is sturdy and easy to mount and use. No, it wouldn't stand up to a grinder, but I never leave the bike out of public sight or for very long. It's not too heavy and fits my folder perfectly. Next day delivery took over a week and a customer service call but other than that it was great.

There are many obvious strengths and weaknesses to this lock. It's relatively easy to transport. Not terribly heavy. It expands to encompass unusual shapes and sizes. I don't think it would be easy to pick, but it wouldn't withstand a brute force attack. But if you already have a strong U-lock in place, adding this folding lock on top means a bicycle thief is going to have to put in extra time to get through two (or more) locks and they generally won't take the risk. It's a good second lock. It's a good lock if you're only going to be away from your bike for a short time.

The lock itself works well enough, it's kinda clever. I'd recommend the larger size for e-bikes as they are chunky in design. But make sure you have panniers on your bike if your bike lacks mounting holes in the frame bars as mine does. The bracket Allegion includes is a third-rate design, unusable in real life. After tightening, it slips down down down after a few bumps in the road. I'd be embarrassed to have designed this thing. Worth looking at the competing Foldylock product.

The flexible hinges allow you to wrap this around, oddly shaped objects. It folds up nicely and stows on the bike easily. I lock and unlock my bike multiple times per day and this particular bike makes that task much simpler and quicker.

Great lock for the price. It isn't maximum security but in my relatively low crime are it does the job. Attaches right to the frame and works great
