These are extremely sharp, solidly made and comfortable to use chisels. I haven’t yet but I’m sure I will be happy to chop out a mortice with these.

These came in a wooden presentation box, which was quite nice,very good looking tools with an attractive dark wood handle,very sharp and has a good selection of sizes, good value for the money,I used them to rebate some doors out,they did the job, would recommend these for DIY jobs,

For the money you can’t go wrong. If you are looking to get started in woodworking these are a good shout. They are good for the money. Don’t expect the world for the money but these will do the job and will help you practice with sharpening. They do hold an edge fairly well and come reasonably sharp out the box. I brought these as more of a beater set of chisels but they have worked there way into most of my woodworking projects.

As with most chisels they aren't that sharp when they arrive. It took about 30 minutes each to sharpen them up which is a lot less than some other makes. and since then they have survived quite a lot of use and have only need a few strokes to resharpen them despite hitting the odd concealed nail. The box is ok - quite solid , I French polished mine as I was bored one day and now I have the poshest chisel set in England.
