UPDATED to 5 stars - they now have excellent customer service, they sent me a brand new lighter along with plenty of refills! ——- BEWARE - They do not honor their warranty / ignore claim submissions I bought this product and it stopped lighting within about a year. I have reached out multiple times for a replacement (the product is registered should be covered under the 2-year warranty) and Bison has not responded to any of my emails or warranty claim submissions. I loved the lighter before it broke and I'd be happy to change my review to 5 stars if somebody responded to my claim submissions.

Worked well for the first few times. After that, it started spitting out butane, will not hold a flame if pointed down. The plastic lock button to hold in the safety switch at top so you can run the flame without two hands, gets stuck. (which doesn't matter since the flame goes out within a few seconds regardless). This thing is 90% plastic, and the butane filler on the bottom leaks when you fill it. It was manageable the first few times, now its basically useless. So I lit my grill 4-5 times for 50$. It's a great idea, but look elsewhere.

I got one from the same brand as a gift ten years ago and loved it, (even gave one as an housewarming gift to a friend) after a LOT of use mine finally stopped working. Then I ordered this one and it’s even better! Smaller and much more powerful. So easy to use, makes lighting a fire very quick. Love it!

This is the third Bison I've owned. The last one lasted a few years and the current one has stopped after a month. The blower button is stuck/broken and won't shut off until the batteries are removed. Otherwise this igniter is a handy tool for starting fires. UPDATE: I was able to work with their customer service and received a replacement free of charge. The process was smooth and the new igniter works perfectly. I like a company that stands behind their product!

This was gifted to me a few years ago. I wasn't that excited about it and didn't give it a try for several months. I fell in love with it. It's almost like your Leatherman. You just got to know where it is at all times. I ended up losing it somehow in the forest. I missed it dearly for about a year before I replaced it with a new one. It's just great for starting any type of fire or heating something up or searing a steak. It's just a very useful tool once you have it. Kind of like scissors. Just imagine life without scissors. I feel similarly about this thing.

Simply Dangerous.. This product worked as expected and I was impressed for the first 2-3 weeks. After approximately five or six barbecues, I started noticing issues with the flame not shutting off when I release the button. Shortly there after, it appeared as if butane was spitting out of the nozzle and I could not shut off the flame. Now, without the flame Lit, or activating the butane button, I can hear butane escaping from the front of the nozzle. I really wish this product had lived up to my expectations as I believe the flame and fan design is exactly what I’m looking for in a barbecue lighter. Unfortunately, it’s simply does not work and it’s dangerous.

I bought this torch and it broke within a month and after chatting with customer service, they sent me a new torch and it works great. The customer service was excellent to communicate with and was resolved pretty quickly. Great product and great customer service. Thankyou!

The button seemed broken and couldn't be used from the moment I opened it. I just couldn't get it to work even after changing to a new set of batteries and adding gas. The only thing that's working is the fan. Couldn't get the flame going as the trigger for the flame is broken. Disappointed. Please arrange a pickup and refund my money back. Thanks

Used to re-kindle and re-light dying fire.

I thought it was a battery-driven charcoal lighter which like a cordless heat gun, actually it is battery-driven... fan, you still need the butane to get the charcoal lighted. Definitely not worth the money.
