Good e-collar and transmitter - belt clip could be better
I purchased this in May 2020 at the recommendation of my dog's trainer, and I use it for messaging to my young GSD. I would not use any e-collar without first having my dog understanding basic verbal obedience commands, and me understanding the purpose and use of the e-collar, so my husband and I invested in training for our dog and me. It took me a little while to get comfortable with it, as juggling the use of the remote while handling a leash attached to an active, sometimes unfocused young dog took some getting use to. As time goes by, much of the time the messaging is not needed as my dog is now responsive to my verbal commands. This e-collar is reliable and the remote is comfortable in the hand. However, the belt clip attaches to the transmitter with small screws that wind into it. Its tight and hard to slip onto a belt. The little screws in mine came loose, and I noticed it before the transmitter was lost. I use a carabine to attach the transmitter to my belt or waistband when I need my hands free; however, most of the time the transmitter is in my hand. Despite the belt clip, I recommend this e-collar and remote transmitter - they are more expensive than some, but I find them to be reliable.

great easy to use ecollar
This collar works great. I've used this for about a week now, mostly short range and always within visual LOS. I introduced it with a professional trainer I've been working with. The average dog she's trained responds to "60" out of 127 but it's very dependent on fur type, thickness, and the dog's hardheadedness. My dog responds to 75 because she's stubborn. Once you have a dog responding it makes training a breeze. If they do something you can correct them near instantly and the dog isn't confused about what you are correcting it for like if you yelled from across the room or had to run over and yank on it's pinch collar. Leave it in nick and dial it up just enough to get a response for most dogs. You're not trying to actually introduce pain, just to get their attention enough to correct the behavior (in non-aggressive dogs) My dog LIVES for tennis balls. Neigh impossible to train "leave it" via regular methods. Using this collar it took 3 corrections and now she knows leave it and I was able to apply leave it to tennis balls, people, other dogs, ect without any additional corrections. I also accidentally left it on all night once and it still had plenty of battery power in the morning. I was warned not to leave it on except when using it because the prongs can irritate the skin and if you are training with it for a prolonged period (or say hiking) make sure to rotate the collar periodically so the prongs don't rub on the same spot and irritate it. It only ships with short prongs too. if your dog has extra thick fur you may need to contact the manuf and get longer prongs. The standard ones worked fine on my gshep.

Easy to Use
I have found that the Arc is very user friendly. I love the many levels of stimulation available. My dog responds on level 7-10 depending on what we are doing and I can imagine ever needing the highest level of stimulation, That being said, each increment is a very subtle difference, making for precise level. The collar fits well and I like the low level profile. The remote fits well in my hand and easy to use without needing to look at it.

Best training collar
We have an Australian Cattle dog pup who became dog aggressive. I purchased this collar to assist in training him to calm down when we walk. This has been a very effective tool and now if I just show him the remote, he walks past other dogs and behaves perfectly! The directions were very easy to follow and I bought the bungee collar to go with as it is easier to get on/off our dog. It has the 'nick' feature which just gives them a quick burst and not a long one. I love that. (And, I tried this out on my hand before ever using it on my dog.) The collar battery seems to die quicker than the remote so just keep an eye on that. The unit is fully charged within 2 hours. After purchasing another brand and being disappointed, I got this one and it has been going strong for several months now!

This collar is great!
My lab grew so quickly, I was almost unable to control her cause she thought she was little! My recommendation of her trainer, I bought this exact Dogtra ARCcollar. It’s easy to use and both vibrates or shocks. There are 127 levels of stimulation so that it can be as much or as little as is needed.

does a great job so far
I've had this a couple of months now and it still works great. the collar relaxes and becomes lose, I have to check it about 30 min after I put it on my dog to readjust. other than that it does what it says. also at very low settings my dogs feel it but I don't. so be aware and start out on the lowest setting and work your way up.

Everything working perfectly
It arrived sooner than stated. Everything has worked perfectly so far. My pup is already starting to understand the communication with the collar with only two days of use. I added a replacement bungee collar and have been very happy with fitment and contact. Pup is already responding, considering getting a second receiver for my 9yo dog for ultimate freedom.
