Seed would not grow.
The package had everything in it and I followed the directions and I nothing happen. I tried three times a gave up and ordered a live plant. I don't know if something happened in shipping at the post office. I have a green thump but gave up on this.

Nice novelty seeds
Sprouted! FYI, the plastic packaging should be used as a kind of greenhouse for the seeds to sprout. This is not stated anywhere in the product packaging.

Sprouted
Plastic greenhouse was broken prior to being packaged (no broken pice in container) but still functions. Planted 2 seeds and they have sprouted within a few days. Will have to wait and see what they actually grow into. Very pleased with overall product.

Dont give up. Germination is an art. This is the only one that survived after all the seeds started well. Soil needs to really drain well. This one just grows on the window ledge in Idaho.

All the seeds germinated
Overall I'm happy with the purchase. The seeds did germinate at my second attempt.I received 9 seeds in my kit and within a few days I started germinating them. To do this, I used a 5" plastic pot and a bonsai jack mix (it's here on amazon), not the stuff provided in the kit. Five seeds I tried to germinate in that pot and the remaining four using the paper towel method. I placed the seeds on the top layer of the mix and partially covered them with a "single layer" of the bonsai mix. Then I put the pot in a tray of water and placed it on a window sill facing west (not that it was optimal, I just had some free space there). I misted the top layer 1-3x a day to keep the seeds/top soil moist at all times (bonsai mix dries up fast). The seeds in the paper towel were kept moist at all times too. After a few days all of the 9 seeds started growing roots. After the next few days when the main root became a little green at the base I transferred the seeds from the paper towel to a separate pot with a bonsai mix. In the end 5 out of 9 seedlings did not produce any leaves and died (regardless of the method used to start them). The remaining 4 started growing leaves. Eventually 3 out of 4 remaining ones also died - not sure why, but I suspect that my watering schedule combined with the very gritty bonsai mix dried them out.So now I'm left with that one winner that's now 3 months old and still going strong. I still keep it on the windowsill facing west, mist it 1-2 times a day and water once a week. Every now and then I'll fertilize it with ~1/8 of a recommended dose of a succulent fertilizer. I'm not sure if what I'm doing is optimal, but so far it works at least for that one left survivor.Hope my experience will help you guys grow your own joshuas!

2 weeks progress
I hope I succeed keeping it alive after this phase! but the incubator worked and I'm happy I got it. For this one I followed the instructions and it worked, photo is 2 week. I've tried different methods with more seeds but this incubator has been the faster for me. It's indoors but right by the window and gets light all day.
