That IS NOT THE CASE!After I got the package, I was completely disappointed and I don't like complaining. But, the picture that is portrayed on the cover led me to believe that a full grown Lab/Retriever and a smaller dog would fit on the pad.I'm just saying, buyer be aware of the dimensions. It is literally 18 x18 and would hold 4 teacup dogs, 2 small dogs (mine are a mini-pinscher and a Pomeranian - both weighing 10 lbs)It would generate heat for the midsection of a large dog, but regardless, I think it's fake advertisement.Imagine Godzilla on that pad. It's the same principle. Kudos to the advertisement campaign with a large breed dog and another smaller dog on a " 20 inch pad " you have done your job.

Anyone who thinks this doesn't work are crazy. Yes, it doesn't go any higher than 50 degrees but remember your dog has a body temperature higher than yours. And they lay on it so over time they'll grow hot. My dog gave birth to a litter of puppies in mid-Nov. So I bought this to keep them warm. I made the mistake of setting it at 50 and a few hours later the puppies were crying and I found them all trying to crawl away off the pad. I set it 35 and they love it. It works and it works great.

We have a 5-month old black lab who appears cold at nigh (curled up in a ball) so we wanted to provide a warm place for him to sleep on. We've tried multiple settings for this and it never gets warm, even to the touch. We will be returning it.

This heating pad was purchased as a stand - by source of warmth for newborn toy breed puppies. Turned out to be a lifesaver when power went out for 6 hours on very cold day.Though it is electric & so didn’t work without power, my babies stayed warm when mother took breaks from them as this reasonably priced pad held its warmth for several hours when I put pups on it & simply added a lightweight blanket to help hold heat. I would - & already have - suggest this heating pad to anyone needing safe warmth for their small dogs, cats.

This worked great for just over 2 months. The item arrived October 24, 2018. We started using it a few days after. As of January 11, 2019 or no longer heats.Very disappointed in the product and it's beyond the Amazon return timeframe.*update* I contacted the seller and they offered me the choice of replacement or refund.

I've had many electeoc pet warmers over the years. Two (of two purchased ) of these had to bw returned when they stopped working after less than a month of use.

Dog likes it.
