Works as advertised, for the most part
The most important feature I needed was having at least 2 outgoing messages - one for daytime hours ("We're here, just can't come to the phone...", one for after-hours ("We're closed, leave a message."). And for that purpose it works perfectly. Switching between messages is very easy - just push one button.Surprisingly, having two messages is a rare feature on answering machines - which are, themselves, rare. The only other one on Amazon that does this is over $200 so this is a great deal. The only complaint, the sound is a little tinny, which is amusing given the name of the device. But it works very well, and does it at a good price.

Poor sound quality
I purchased this answering machine because of its name, implying excellent sound quality, and its premium price, which I thought might validate its quality. I am sorry to say that the sound quality of recorded telephone messages was poor. People didn't sound like themselves, and the claim of excellent intelligibility of the recorded messages isn't true. I tried the feature to slow down the voice playback, and that doesn't help. Also, the microphone in the machine, used to record your outgoing message, is also poor. When your callers hear your outgoing message, you don't sound very good either, (I called myself up to hear my outgoing message). I returned this machine, and purchased the AT&T 1739 which is much cheaper. It doesn't have perfect sound quality, but it is adequate, and much better than this machine, which is an overpriced failure.

Sound is anything but clear sound
The MEMO records worse than my cheap ATT answering machine.. The machine is easy to set up. I just set it up and have few messages so far. The jury is out but if the messages sound like the memo, it will be a non-keeper.

Thought I had a winner
I bought this for my aunt because it had big numbers and seemed easy to use. My husband installed it, we tested it and all seemed well. Two weeks later she calls to say the machine isn't working. I asked what happened and she said her phones stopped working and when the phone company came ot they said there is a short somewhere. They traced it back to the answering machine. So this weekend I need to pick it up and return it.

Excellence Answering machine
I was surprised to like this product after so many poor reviews. There don't seem to be many answering machines on the market any more so decided to try it. It was simple to set up, and has very good clarity and looks nice and professional sitting on the counter. I am able to remotely check my messages and change my greetings. And it has two different outgoing greetings so that made me happy as well. I'm very pleased.

Poorest audio I have heard
Audo sounds like the speaker in in a tin bucket. I have had over 6 answering device and this one is by far the worst.

Not for Business Answering Machine
For the price, this standalone answering machine should've been superb compared to some combination phone/answering systems. Following are my findings:1) You must be subscribed to CID (Caller ID) for the day/time stamp to work,2) The buttons are big and clunky, like that you'd find on a Fisher-Price toy,3) Your recorded outgoing message sounds unnaturally bassy with a slight echo,4) You can record two separate outgoing announcements which are very easy to select,5) The pre-recorded outgoing announcements, of which there are two, are a bad, computer generated female voice, difficult to understand, and I can't imagine anyone actually using them,6) The digitized female voice is also used in the menus, and is difficult to understand, especially when retrieving messages remotely,7) The unit makes terrible feedback noises when the phone is picked up during an incoming call (this seems to happen just after the outgoing message and just before the machine begins the recording - about a 2-3 second window),8) The remote security code is 4 digits long (as opposed to 2 or 3 digits on most others),9) The toll saver feature is 3 rings if there are messages, 6 rings if no messages (as opposed to 2/4 on most others),10) The stored messages sound very clear,11) I expected more advanced options out of this standalone unit,12) The red, 2-digit LED display is always flashing. It alternates "A1" - "00" (announcement 1, no messages), or flashes "02" (2 messages, or number of messages stored). The point is, no matter what, it's always flashing,13) It has 30 minutes of recording time,14) The unit is basically very easy to use, but it's also very basic.15) When a call comes in, the outgoing message and the incoming message are played. There is no way to mute either, except to turn the volume to 0. (Some machines have a DND (Do Not Disturb) feature.)I run a business from my home office, and this definitely fails the test. The fact that this machine creates tremendous feedback when I pick up the phone after it starts recording means it is seriously flawed. I lost a potential lead as a result, so, you could say I've lost money by having this answering machine. I am returning it for a refund.
