Recieved the two light strings and immediately tested them since some reviews indicated problems. One strand worked perfectly. The other would go dark when cycling through the colors . I contacted the seller who emailed me the same day with an offer of partial refund which I accepted. I have several fairy lights and these are the most substantial. The lights have four wire strands and the light itself is larger than two stand lights. Other reviewers had trouble with remote functions. Both remotes I recieved work perfectly. You do have to be close by the plug. After turning on the lights and choosing color and function, tap the time button one time, the lights will go out after 8? hours and come back on the next day at the time originally turned on. I love these lights and the customer service.

these are the second set of USB lights I have bought from the same company because I was so happy with my first one. I first bought battery operated lights but then found a hassle of having to go to the store for batteries to be too much. I also bought solar-powered lights but then when we have a lot of cloudy days those become useless as well. these ones are wonderful and absolutely what I was looking for. I hadn't found these before otherwise I would not have bought the others. You can plug it into your sockets or you can use a power bank. The USB really does make it very very versatile. It is so long I can usually cover one wall with one of the lights. So I had to buy a second one of course. The brightness is great, the lights can be seen with the house lights on or off. I am using these inside the house. I did not find the remote to be too useful. Either there is a lag or I really didn't see much of a difference between the different modes.

Have only had these for a few days so I'll have to update as to how long they hang in there. One strand is on my balcony the other is inside. Absolutely wanted a plug-in and this USB plug allowed me to utilize USB converters I've been collecting from phones for years! Also only needed the 16 foot length because 33 feet was just more than I could deal with. I love that you can change the level of brightness, I love the variety of colors. As other reviewers have said the color on the button doesn't exactly match what the LED looks like, but I really don't care because they're beautiful. I just keep trying different buttons until I find the one I want. Love the timer and that it has a memory so once you set it it's going to come on and shut off the same time everyday until you change it. There is also a button called smooth. It very smoothly flows through different colors which I think will be wonderful for the holidays. Extremely pleased and have already impressed various friends and neighbors with them, but the real deal is that they make me happy!

These are amazing as so much fun. I bought 2 strands (my Christmas tree's lights stopped working, so this was my simple solution)I put them on my tree and they looked amazing and never stopped working. The remote let's your chose from like 10 colors, and like 4 or 5 lighting patterns. You can also let it do all of the colors in whatever lighting pattern you want.So I bought 2, to fill my tree, and I was able to make them do an ombre type color scheme up the tree. I did a horror themed Christmas tree (yes, I know yall are thinking this girl is weird. Lol I just like being unique) so it made my tree look even more badass

I purchased these to light a display shelf, and I wanted to use them with a smart plug so I could add them to a routine and not have to keep an extra small remote lying around. Unfortunately, they will not work with a smart plug. If the plug is turned off, the lights will of course turn off as expected, but when the plug turns back on, the lights must be turned on manually or with the provided remote. This also means that the lights will revert back to the default color of red. I have purchased another set of lights to replace these and will look for a different place to use this set.While not being able to use these lights with a smart plug is disappointing, I am not deducting any stars for that because they did not claim to work with a smart plug. I assumed they would work, so that's my mistake. The reason I did deduct a star is because the remote is IR and thus requires you to point the remote at the plug in order for it to work. Since most outlets are located on the bottom of walls and often hidden behind tables, chairs, beds, etc., these lights would not be useful in many locations. I plan to purchase a USB extension cable so that I will be able to use them somewhere else in my home. The control would be better if located on the opposite end of the lights or even better if the remote was RF.Overall, the lights work well, are bright, and provide many color options. The remote also provides a timer function with 4 times, as well as options for rotating through colors, flashing, strobe, etc. My favorite option is the dimming. You can dim the lights to 5 different levels, so you can decide how bright you want the light to be.Depending on your needs, these lights could be perfect for you.

Good price for two strands. Unfortunately the timer button on the remote doesn't work. It would be nice to come home to the lights in the windows, but even with an external wall timer, they must be manually turned on.UPDATE: Nov 30, 2018 - I've had these lights up and running for about 2 weeks. One of them (is used at my office from 8a-5p, M-F only) and I noticed the USB plug was a bit warm to the touch. This morning, I turned them on, and they wouldn't stay on. Sadly, I will be returning both sets. No issues with the second, but since they were purchased together - the others will be coming off my window at home.

These light were so much more than expected! For the price, I really thought they would be junk, but I was pleasantly surprised. We put these up in my daughters room and they look great!
