Shape does not retain hose very well and spike is too short so just tips over when hose pulls against it even in good soil and light pressure. Top has come off of every one of these after only a few weeks.

Just ordered two of these, should have read reviews first. They are plastic, base that goes into ground is only plastic too, they don't sit firmly, just used them both for the first time today, didn't stay in place. Have no confidence they will last long. Save your money friends.

It protects shrubbery from being damaged by the garden hose.

I have had a number of these that I purchased from Lowe's, though they are the exact same item. They work okay, but the spool the hose slides in to doesn't quite have enough depth to it so a little vertical movement and it easily slides over the guide. The other problem is that none that I purchased lasted more than a few months. The tops popped off every last one of them before long so, in spite of their good looks, they just don't hold up to use.

I liked the height that the knob adds... I had rollers without, and the hose would just ride over the top. But the knob is just blow molded plastic with clay inside, like cheap exercise weights... and its boss where it's threaded on is thin, it just splits and the knob falls off. Shame on you for selling junk like this!
