The Way I Act

My daughters school (academy) sent home another book by the same author called “ the way I feel”. I started reading it to my daughter and I appreciated how the author described different situations that relates to children. I then saw that the same author wrote this book “ the way I act”, so I purchased it on Amazon. I personally feel like both books do a great job at explaining important life & behavior lessons to children. I Highly recommended to read both to your toddler, it’s a bed time must ! And the illustrations are easy for a child to comprehend what is going on.

I love the illustration and how the children can grasp the understanding of the specific word with the words being read to them.

My 2 year old loves the first book “the way I feel” and has most of it memorized so I wanted to try this one. She loves it just as much as the first one. Highly recommend both books

My son is almost 3 and is just now really enjoying books. He's also at a development point in which he is now starting to understand his actions affect those around him. This book is great for showing how to handle situations that create angry feelings and how to handle those feelings. I think it will only get more helpful as he gets older and understands more.

I just have to share these 2 books! I purchased them for my 3 year old who is trying to identify emotions. I bought him The Way I Feel first (advertised for ages 2 - 8). I feel it has helped immensely. He's identifying his emotions and relating them to the book. I just got him The Way I Act (ages 4-8) and he's really enjoying it as well. There's even a page at the end of each book to help parents make the most out of the book. I really recommend these for 3 to 4 year olds!

I used this book to introduce behaviors: responsible, compassionate, trustworthy and brave (to name a few). When we read the book at night, I ask her to identify a time when she behaved curious or friendly. It's awesome to hear my child put the book into context. I've heard her speak to her sister about positive behaviors and I find joy in knowing she can identify her actions while increasing her vocabulary. My daughter asked for us to challenge her with responsibilities so we introduced chores!

Beautiful book. Great for helping children understand actions. Illustrations are awesome. The book is very engaging and the children I have read it to seem mesmerized by the story and the illustrations!

My 4.5 year old son loves it! Cute book, great pictures and helpful for learning emotions and acting on them.

My daughter loves this book, very easy flow when reading aloud.

It has nice pictures, but the text is not great. Didn’t really hold my children’s attention

Lots of good words for children to learn, like trustworthy and the rhymes are really nice in explaining what the words mean.
