Keep hands warm when it's below freezing.
I have mounted these on my 2017 BMW F700GS without hand guards. Fitment is a little tight around the control buttons like start switch, signal button, and horn, but you get used to it after a few miles. So far I have run these down to 7 degrees F and kept my hands very warm. I have heated grips and can get away with wearing my summer light weight gloves with these handle bar mitts. From a safety stand point, as long as you keep your hands in them when you ride its no big deal. I pulled a hand out to wave at someone when I was coming to a stop and that was almost a disaster. I struggled to get my hand back in the mitt in time to grab my clutch handle. Fairly simple material construction and I wouldn't count on them in a rain storm. Might get you home, but they will end up soaking wet. Very easy to install/remove within seconds. When I get to work I normally pull them and store in my panniers. They may look goofy as all hell when you are riding down the road, but then again, other riders will be jealous when you are still riding at 20 degrees out and your co-workers will think you are a badass for riding your motorcycle year round. I have always struggled to keep my hands warm and these solved the problem.

... attached these to a 1989 Sporster that I ride pretty much year round in Kansas
I attached these to a 1989 Sporster that I ride pretty much year round in Kansas. I had to turn them upside down to fit over everything and I wish they were a bit larger but they do keep my hands a little warmer than my cold weather gloves without the bulk. I've been using them when the weather drops to around freezing or lower. I use a a cheap pair of brown work gloves when I'm using them.I ride 10 miles, one way, to work on this bike just about everyday and have used them in temps around 25. Nothing is going to keep you warm at that temperature but I really think they do a better job than the cold weather gloves. It's a little strange having your hands stuck inside them in traffic and I'm still not real comfortable with that aspect but I don't think there's really any problem with getting your hands out in a hurry if you needed to.There's also the dork factor involved with putting these things on a motorcycle like my Sporster but I'm 53 years old and do not care. I'd rather be a little warmer.

warm and HUGE
I had to cut a slit in mine to fit my scooter. I guess my handlebars have too much molded plastic around them. Nonetheless, they are warm as HECK. they are HUGE, however so that's kinda weird. I guess I'm ok with it. Someone stole my scooter a few weeks ago and they ripped the muffs off and left them there. I was grateful that I could put them on a new scooter when I bought one. Alas, I FOUND my stolen scooter, mutilated as all get-out. I get it back from the shop tomorrow... in 40F weather. SO, I'm taking my warm cozy muffs with me to pick it up. YAY!

great item... just needs a better fit
These knock the chill off... but they are not meant for bikes with bar ends on. Doesnt really fit that well on my ninja 650r and sometimes it will compress my front brake just enough to have my brake light on. Now for the good, I commute and my ride home is at 2 in the morning so I meet some cold weather alot. These do help. I wouldnt wear summer gloves at those temps but these plus my winter gloves and make 15 degrees somewhat bearable. Overall I would suggest this just wish it fit better.

Handle Bar Muffs
These are great. I have ridden several time at 26f or -3c, 45 min ride, at 60mph or 100kph, with the muffs and regular gloves. These will keep the hands toasty warm.At temps above 32f or 0c these might be too warm. I haven't had them in the rain. Just a light mist and had dry hands. These will not fit over Bark Bars or Handle Bar brush guards. FYI.

great for cold weather riding.
Ordered on Dec 8th and arrived on Dec 22nd. Put them on my Yamaha V-star 1300. Easy on and off; stowed in my saddlebags while I'm off the bike. These are slightly snug inside but definitely usable and worth the money. Will not wear my winter gloves under these. I price out making my own and these are still cheaper.Any kind of internal frame to keep the shape would give this 5/5.UPDATE: I have been using these in temps down to 18F and OMG these things are worth every penny. I wear my summer gloves under these mitts and my hands stay very warm. I did need to cut the material on the left handlebar in order to get it to roll up into place around my mirror shaft. And I put a paper towel in the very end next to my cables and that's it. They are fabulous.

Toasty warm and very well made!!
Perfect fit for my 2003 Harley Fat Boy! I live in New England and ride all year round (as long as the white stuff isn't on the roads of course) and these muffs are the BEST purchase I've made! I only have to wear thin gloves when I ride, even when it's in the 20's outside! They are very well made and arrived quickly! I let a friend try them out and he was amazed. I've even used them without gloves at all when the temperature was about 45 degrees and my hands were toasty warm!

what I expected.
I bought these so that I wouldn't have to wear thick ski gloves during my daily bike commute. They arrived fairly quickly, less than two weeks. Initial appearance was fine, about what I would expect for the price. Today was the first day I used them. It was cold, wet and windy. A real test. First, yes they are waterproof, but the seams are not sealed so water gets in and the "fur" just soaks it up. They don't hold their shape and they flop around the bars. So getting in and out with gloves on is a bit tricky, but not too bad. Once in, your hands will stay quite warm. The temps were in the low 30's and with some thing windproof gloves my hands were almost too warm. I'm tempted to try these without any gloves on to see if my hands get too cold. There is a bike specific item similar to this at triple the cost of these, but I can't see them being better. They too have the same issues. At the price this sells for it is a good buy.Update 2/5/15 .Since my initial review I have had a chance to use these down to single digit temperatures and I am happy to say these worked really well. I could still wear thin gloves and my hands were plenty warm. I'm tempted to try these withtout gloves, but the brake levers, which are aluminum, really suck the heat out of my hands even with gloves on them. So for now I will always be wearing gloves when using these.
