The Sightmark series of reflex sights are designed to create a lightweight, yet accurate, sight. Sightmark reflex sights are able to handle heavy recoil, will stay zeroed in longer than competitor’s reflex sights and are perfect for shotguns, pistols and rifles. The Sure Shot reflex sight, featuring a large viewing area and a choice of four different illuminated reticle types, is useful for most any application from close quarter combat situations to hunting. To create the ultimate weapon, mount the Sure Shot alongside a riflescope in order to quickly acquire targets at close distances and take long shots with the riflescope. This sight is available in a matte black or camouflage finish.

Second Time's A Charm
My first bout with this reflex sight was great at first, but during my second trip to the range this thing crapped out on me and just wouldn't light up as the recoil from my 12 gauge had killed it. I was furious about it dying only on my second use, but I remembered that I didn't pay a lot for this sight and it was attached to a 12 gauge shotgun with some serious recoil from slugs. Have no fear, though, I immediately contacted Amazon and was able to return the first one with a breeze. As soon as UPS registered that they picked it up, Amazon stuck the other one in the mail. I received it within a few days and that led to the current five star rating...... This has been a phenomenal sight for my Mossberg Persuader *knock on wood* I've been to the range at least a few times with this thing and so far so good. I only have access to indoor ranges, so I have no choice but to use slugs. However, I'm not complaining since 12ga slugs are the ultimate test for this reflex sight which this thing has been passing with flying colors the second time around *knock on wood*There is no quick detach (QD) on this, so if you're using a precision rifle that could be a problem depending on your preferences, but considering I have this mounted to a shotgun I won't complain. The four different reticles on here are fantastic and very easy to select with a real simple selector switch highlighting which reticle is which. I like the circular bullseye myself since I feel it's a good representation of the spread my shotgun can cover, even with slugs. They have another reticle which is a crosshair over a bullseye which I like to use when I get a chance to shoot buck or birdshot since it reminds me of the large spread both those types of rounds have.I'll be sure to post any updates if this sight fails on me in the future, but so far so good with this replacement *knock on wood*

Be Careful!
Bought this a few months back and installed it on my rifle. First time out the red dot disappeared after shooting a few rounds through it. Tap on sight and it came back on. It happened again right away. Thought the battery was bad so I got a new one and replaced it. Tried it again...same results. Fire a few rounds, dot disappears. Not good if this is a "go to" gun for defense, etc. Even if your hunting how bad would that be to having something you're aiming at just to have the sight drop out. Maybe just a bad one I got, but I got it and paid for a sight that is useless!

Airsoft? Yes Firearms? No.
I originally was thinking about trying this on my AR15 but decided to get it for my Ruger 10/22 as the reviews sounded like it might not hold up well with higher calibers. After shooting roughly 300 rounds it seems to be zeroed still but the dial that controls the brightness / turns it on and off jumped a few notches and the number 2 setting is now off rather than 0.Seems like this is more suited for an airsoft gun rather than a firearm.

Product was good but....
Don't buy if you have terrible astigmatism. I put it on and when I looked through it I saw two reticles. Close an eye, two. Eyes open, two.Upon further research I learned that with astigmatism these red dots will blur. Held my phone camera up to it, took a picture and the dot was clear as could be. Looked through it with my eyes and blurry and unusable. So the sight was nice. Fit perfectly on my AR. Just couldn't use it.

Beautiful sight, well made
Beautiful sight, well made, but in the end I returned it for 1 main reason: Each of the 4 reticles has to be zeroed separately. On the flip side, this sight is well built and Sightmark provides lifetime warranty and excellent customer service.

very pleased
I put this on a 9mm ar pistol. I can ring a pie plate size target at a 100 yards 6 out of 10 times or there about. From the bench 10 out of 10 which is pretty good for me. I can't speak for durability i am not out running and gunning and being all tactical. This is my second sight mark sight and i have been very happy with both.

Nice sight for the money
Let me start by saying this is my first Holographic sight. I have used a buddy's Aimpoint so I do have a somewhat high end sight to compare to. The Sightmark and the Aimpoint have the same 3 moa reticle. The Aimpoint dot was a little sharper than the Sightmark. That was the difference, a little sharper for 5 times the price of the Sightmark. Now on to the Sightmark. It has 4 reticles and seven brightness settings. Setting 4 or 5 is more than enough in the noon sun. The unit is very sturdy built and clamps solid to a picatinny rail. It comes with cleaning cloth, rubber dust cover and an allen wrench that fits both the rail mount screws and the windage an elevation screws. I zeroed at 25 yards with a laser bore sight and only took three clicks on the elevation screw to put it on the money at 50 yards. The sight adjusts with very positive clicks. This sight is mounted on a 9MM carbine and although it is a minimal recoil weapon, the sight once zeroed has not budged in the 120 rounds I fired today. Even when a different reticle was used it held zero. The height of the sight is perfect for the UTG back up flip sights I bought here at Amazon. I was able to co witness peep, post and dot perfectly. If your eyesight is not what it use to be, try the both eye opened bright dot shooting that will put you back on target. The choice is yours, buy the Sightmark or spend 5 times as much on the Aimpoint for a dot that is just a little sharper. Or you can spend that extra cash on ammo and enjoy using a quality holographic sight that cost less than $50.
