Great EDC without breaking the bank
I own a few Leatherman multi's and Gerbers too. Each has their purpose. I like this one in particular as my EDC for when I need a little of everything but not heavily. When I need someone more like a heavy workhorse, then I grab my Leatherman supertool 300. Many will claim this Gerber Suspension NXT is not solid. It is. It is just not meant for torquing down on the pliers with a death grip like you can with a Leatherman. But it will certainly do its job for daily obstacles in life. The Scissors are awesome. The file is short but more affective than many comparable multitools in this pricepoint. The awl is more wide but still useful and strong. Blister packs are a breeze to open with this EDC. The pliers are great for standard use of assembly or disassembly of hardware. The Philips driver is very handy. The fact that everything locks is a huge plus. The ruler is short but still very useful if you are crafty in making it work for longer measurements. The can't complain about the weight. It's ideal for an EDC but the compromise in weight is why it is not as stout as a high end leatherman. It's nothing to due with quality but all to do with staying in a pricepoint for a more lighter everyday useful multitool. If this set let's you down, then you are a candidate for a heavy duty, more expensive, multitool. Oterhwise, the Suspension NXT is a clear winner in my pocket and respective wallet.

ONLY buy the original 12-tool Suspension, NOT NXT
The original Gerber suspension I bought at Walmart for $29 and carried for years in the Army was a much more useful tool than all the $100+ Leathermans many of my fellow soldiers carried. Depending on your MOS and unit, “Gerber” or “Leatherman” were often used in place of multitool, just like in parts of Texas if you order a “coke” they interpret that to mean soda in general and respond with “what kind of coke do you want?” Dr. Pepper. In the Army Leathermans are more common so when someone asked to borrow my “Leatherman” I’d hand them my Gerber suspension and they’d fumble with it, confused by the little nubs that make one handed operation a breeze, and then more confused about the locking mechanism, although both seem pretty intuitive to me. I’ve always found this tool to reign supreme since it’s truly easy to operate with one hand, includes a high quality belt case, and has all the necessities. Although a little stiff at first, with some extra lubricant and break-in, opening and closing the knife, saw, and even pliers, were easy with one hand only. Being spring loaded is a seriously important bit too, and after years of use they still work well.Since the same product page has the original suspension and the new Suspension NXT, I do want to mention the NXT is pretty mediocre. You get a couple more tools you don’t need, but completely lose the ability to operate with one hand. Instead of the nice little nubs for your thumb to flick open the outermost tools on the Suspension, the NXT goes back to basics so you need to use your fingernail(s) to pull out any of the tools. The sliders to unlock tools on the NXT are more flush and the springs seem stiffer, aka much harder to use. No case is included, but if you want to actually carry it and are willing to sacrifice a pocket, you can use the attached pocket clip. Hooray. One of the few examples I’ve seen where the new version of a product gets worse in nearly every way.

Ease of use
I bought this for a gift for my son who works in the automotive industry. He loves this product uses. It constantly loves the versatility of the tools that are included

Decent multi-tool, with a few exceptions
I bought this as a smaller substitute for my Leatherman tools. Have not had it long, but so far, it's not bad. It is a bit larger than I wanted for pocket carry, but I can deal with it.Pliers are good, the screwdrivers are decent, although not overwhelming. Scissors are functional but not great; wouldn't use them except for very small light clipping. Knife is sharp, although the serrated portion is a bit annoying; just a good straight blade would be preferable. Openers work.Awl is pretty useless. Since one edge is already ground, although not sharpened, I may grind it to an edge and use it as a small knife blade. The pocket clip is the weakest thing of all, and doesn't hold the tool in the pocket firmly. That's disappointing, since pocket carry is one of the reasons I bought it.All in all, I will use this until the clip goes, and then decide whether to try to repair it or replace it.

A welcome upgrade from my last knife
I had a Craftsman brand multi-tool knife that I loved, but it was time for an upgrade. Leatherman tools are a bit out of my price range, so I went with this Gerber version. Obviously, it's not super-high-end, but it more than gets the job done. It has all the tools I need, plus a few new ones I didn't have previously. It's relatively lightweight, ergonomic, and seemingly well made. The locking mechanism is a nice touch that not every multi-tool includes. Overall, I have no complaints. I'm confident that it'll last a long time under normal use. Zero complaints.

Reliable
The black Gerber multitool has been reliable and versatile for my stage hand job, I'm pleased that it includes a preinstalled pocket clip, unlike other multitools I've used that require you to spend extra for a clip. Each tool is well oiled and functions smoothly, with no stiffness, making it easy to switch between tools, I particularly appreciate the locking mechanisms as they provide extra safety during use, preventing any accidental closures.
