Possible to do alone, even with minimal skills
I put this off for a long time because of the reviews that said it was difficult to do alone. Well, it was not easy. But it was not impossible, however it was a 7/10 on the profanity scale.Watch the sunniland video. Gather all the supplies he suggests but add a hammer (for pounding the rivets into the chair rails) and pliers (for pulling out rivets when taking off the old straps). I didn't have a 1/4 inch drill bit, but a 3/16 worked OK when I used the side of the drill bit to widen the hole a bit.I recommend measuring, cutting, putting the rivets in, then boiling one strap at a time. My first strap was too long but I was able to super-quick cut off a little, drill a new hole and still have enough flexibility to stretch it into place. The next strap I adjusted the length and it was better. Cut another one and it was too long again because I didn't realize the shape of the chair was not a rectangle . . . it is a trapezoid. So the lengths are not all the same. It worked best for me to just do one at a time. I cut and drilled the next strap as each strap was boiling for four minutes. The only difficult part is stretching the strap and trying to hold it in place while you pound in the rivet. I am a female sixty-something in OK physical shape and I could manage, with quite a bit of effort and some colorful language when the strap slipped away from me repeatedly. Forty-five feet was enough to do one chair with woven straps, and three straps to repair a second chair, with about one third of the roll left. I sprayed the straps with Rustoleum paint (included plastic on its label). I suspect the paint will peel easily, but the chairs have cushions so that's OK. You can do this!

Works as advertised!
Wife and I (with no experience and average DIY skills) just replaced 30 straps in about 3 or 4 hours, mainly due to drilling time, as our frames had no holes. Strap application itself was quick, but a little more tiring than expected. Either a helper or strong brace is needed to hold the frame still as you stretch the straps across the frame. Speed is your friend, as the straps lose elasticity as they cool. Water must be boiling hot, not just hot. Follow the video! We tested one before cutting 30. The 10% rule in the video is a must, but we found straps to be firmer after trimming another 1/2 inch. We also went with a 7/32" hole for the 1/4" fasteners. Jeff may tell you that was a mistake, but they seemed to hold better. (He made one of the videos and actually answered the phone to answer our questions...very helpful guy). Looks great. Sturdy commercial grade is just as nice as the original. Doesn't quite match older white straps which had yellowed over 14 years, but that was expected. Used about a roll and a half. Plenty rivets left over. No longer intimidated by this project and glad I didn't trash our lounge chairs. Saved us over $1,000 in replacement cost.

Don't buy new patio furniture, just replace the straps!
Great way to make your patio furniture like new again if your straps are worn/cracked/broken. It was a somewhat difficult task, but if you have a helper and are somewhat handy it isn't too difficult. There are several YouTube videos that will show you step by step how to replace vinyl strapping. Only issue we had was the 45' roll was about 10' too short for what we ended up needing. We had 6 chairs, each with 4 straps. I initially just measured the width of the chairs, and added a little extra. I didn't take the old straps off and measure, so I wasn't taking into account how much of the strap was rolled up on each end. Each strap ended up being just over 2' long once you figured in the rolled over part. Ended up needing to buy an additional 10' to complete all 6 chairs.

There are some great online directions
We ordered this product to redo our patio chairs. There are some great online directions! However, it turns out the fasteners they ship 'free' vary in size and application. Much to our disappointment after hours of work, we sat in our chairs and began to hear the dreaded 'pop' as they came undone! We had no idea the slot sizes in the chair could vary, and since they ship them included with the product, we assumed they were a universal piece of hardware. That rendered the 'free' fasteners useless, and we had to purchase others at our local hardware store. When we went online to research the variances, we found the actual Sunniland website, and much to our aggravation, there were 100 ft. rolls of the vinyl stripping for $60. We paid $80 for 2- 45 ft to the same company via Amazon!! I've always found Amazon to have better deals, but this company apparently uses them to milk naive customers! In the end our chairs look great, but it's due to personal ingenuity, not Sunniland product/ information.

Buen material . Resistentes . Los clips de plástico no sirven
Buen material , resistente . Los clips que vienen de plástico no sirven . Deben ser de metal para que no se rompan y se salgan las tiras de la silla

Initial Review - Love the color and material
Received the product last week and began the process of removing the current straps from the chairs. The hole in our chairs will have to be drilled a tiny bit for the fasteners included to be used but that is to be expected. Love the color! This product is heavy duty and I am excited to get the end product completed. We are repainting the frames with a hammered brown and this color will be perfect. I will post the end result once I've completed a couple of chairs.

Works but very stiff.
Very stiff even when hot from boiling. Used heat gun to keep warm. Takes a lot of arm strength and a person holding chairs!!

Good quality but expensive
It is good quality material. Making the straps is a breeze once you have the routine down. I would recommend bringing the chair inside as it gives you more time to fudge with the straps before they cool down. It is expensive and I found the largest length really only allows you to do one chair.
