Great!
This little adapter is a lifesaver for those of us still loyal to wired headphones. It’s compact, lightweight, and works seamlessly—just plug it into your Lightning port, and you're good to go. I’ve used it with my iPhone 14 Pro and older models without any issues, whether I'm listening to music, taking calls, or using inline mic controls. The sound quality is excellent—clear and crisp with no noticeable lag or distortion. And since it’s made by Apple, there's no worry about compatibility or error messages. The build quality feels solid, and the connection stays snug, even after frequent use. It’s the perfect travel companion too—toss it in a bag or pocket and never be caught without headphone access. If you're still clinging to your favorite 3.5 mm gear, this adapter is a must-have.

Excellent Quality, Does its Job
I've had it six months now and it's still going strong like the first say I got it! I use this to play music from my iphone in a car with a cassette tape opening instead of an aux port. I combine it with a cassette to aux adapter (here is the one I use in case you're interested: "arsvita Car Audio Cassette to Aux Adapter, 3.5 MM Auxillary Cable Tape Adapter"). It was like 8 bucks for this and like 7 bucks for the cassette to aux adapter--well worth it to be able to play music in the car!!! Great build quality, reliable connectivity, easy to use. The cable is extremely short but I don't mind (the cassette to aux cord is long which helps).

Perfect! Just the replacement I needed!
Needed a new one as my old had a crack in it. It does the job well! Compatible with my iPhone and provides the clearest sound quality!

Works as it should. Has one function and does that so can’t complain.

I miss having a real headphone jack, but this is a workable, if not perfect substitute
I guess I am old school, but I really love having a real 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is why I clung to my old iPhone SE for so long. That phone died and became way too insecure (no more updates), so now I am stuck with this adapter on a jackless (s/le/a/) phone.Positives:-It works, and it is from Apple, i.e. not a cheap knockoff.Negatives:-The edges on the 3.5 mm barrel and the housing surrounding the lightning connector are hard and abrupt (which seems like a very non-Apple design choice!), i.e. why didn't they fillet / smooth the edges of the hard plastic?-My Apple EarPods sometimes disconnected from this adapter connector when pulling on the cable trying to fish the phone out of my pocket.Directly related to this (and the cause of temporary minor emotional sadness lol) is that my phone just dropped while I was wearing my headphones. Since the connector disconnects fairly easily, the headphones detached from the adapter, causing the phone to continue its accelerating trajectory towards the ground. The impact bent the lightning connector, so now the adapter is dead.Despite my gripes above, I still need one. Unfortunately, this item (as of Jan 8, 2025) seems to no longer be in stock at Amazon or at Apple. I'm guessing it is discontinued (hope I'm wrong). RIP.

Does what you would expect
The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is a useful accessory for anyone who owns an iPhone or iPad without a headphone jack. As someone who has used this adapter for several months, I can say that it works perfectly and does exactly what it's supposed to do.The adapter is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around in a pocket or bag. It connects directly to the Lightning port on the iPhone or iPad and provides a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting headphones or other audio devices. The audio quality through the adapter is excellent, with no noticeable loss of quality or distortion. The adapter also supports microphone input, which makes it a great choice for anyone who needs to make phone calls or record audio using an external microphone. One thing to note is that the adapter is not compatible with all headphones and audio devices. Some headphones with built-in controls or microphones may not work properly with the adapter, and some high-impedance headphones may not get enough power to drive them properly. However, these cases are relatively rare, and most headphones and audio devices will work perfectly with the adapter.Overall, the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is a useful accessory for anyone who needs to connect headphones or other audio devices to an iPhone or iPad without a headphone jack. Its compact size, excellent audio quality, and microphone input support make it a great choice for anyone who needs to use headphones or external microphones with their Apple device.
