My Two Cents
Bought this ink a few days ago and just had the time to really try it out. The color of the ink is an appealing blue-black ink that is, in fact, bulletproof. The flow is the ink is very fluid. As a matter of fact, I would suggest that you use this ink for those drier writers that you may have. This leads me to the only minor issue I have with this ink. Let me put this in perspective for you. I have 4 fountain pens: 2 Platinum #3776 medium points, 1 Pilot Prera medium and 1 Faber-Castell Loom fine. The corresponding line thickness would be from thickest to thinnest in respect to pen order. I first tried the ink in my Prera since it needed to be re-inked and, being a fairly thin line writer, I thought it would be the best candidate to test ink property. Whoa!!! This shot out more ink than Ron Jeremy in a....yeah, let's not go there, but the point being that what I thought was an asian medium point became a western broad. Let me put this in context to be fair: the paper used was fairly cheap 5" X 7" legal paper, but even on good 20# legal paper there was fairly good spread. I used it on my Moleskine and that tightened it up just a bit more. Even so, my Platinum #3776's, which are wetter writers than my Prera in general, wrote tighter on my Moleskine when using Pilot Iroshizuku Asa-Gao which is considered a wet ink -- at least to me.Now the brighter side to this is that my Faber-Castell Loom fine point took to this ink like fish to water. The pen has, for me at least, drier writing character and has a tendency to give unfavorable--and nearly unforgivable--feedback. I do realize that the tendency for feedback is greater with finer points, but this is just too much for me. Well, that all changed with the BBK. The feedback, WHEN WRITING ON GOOD STATIONARY (not shouting, just emphasizing), was like writing with a just sharpened pencil that had just a weeee bit of wear to provide a sweet spot of writing ease. Now, had I not tried this, the future of this pen would have been having fletches super glued to the back end of it and tossing this mother effer into a dart board. No seriously, that is profusely dripping with hyperbole, especially applied to a $40 pen; although, I know some people who should get that treatment...hehe.Turning briefly to the issue of being a bulletproof ink...yep, it sho iz! Let me explain. I wrote on that 5" X 7" that I had previously mentioned and let the ink set in for 15 minutes. Then I took the paper and sprayed a heavy dose of Mean Green degreaser (which is some bad a$$ stuff) and let it sit for about 3 min and rinsed off the paper. Guess what....THE WRITING WAS THERE AND STILL LEGIBLE! Yes, there was some runoff, but you could still clearly read the writing. Don't believe me? I commend you for your skepticism. Do not trust me and do your own test. I will say that the aforementioned statement is, in fact, true.Anyway, that is my two copper washed Lincolns on the matter. The price for the amount of ink you get is just (cf. a just person), if not generous. When I opened up the bottle, there was very little breathing room in there...it was loaded to the top! My hope is that you are served well by this review.

If you are going to use a fountain pen for anything important BUY THIS INK. Its fantastic.
This is my first ink from noodlers. Although I have heard a lot of rave reviews of Noodler's inks, actual reports of testing seems sparse on the warden's series. As soon as I received this ink, I was itching to test it. I inked up my Pilot Vanishing Point M nib and went to work. I first wrote out two sentances (i know my handwriting is sloppy). Ink flow was instantaneous and smooth, with no skipping and very quick drying. I am a lefty who ignores the nonsense about fountain pens only working for right handed people, but it is important my ink dry fast so my hand does not smear it. In the smear test i drew three vertical bold lines and drug my finger accross at 1 and 5 seconds. Absolutely no smear on the 1second dry time which is well above average! ! I then shaded and repeated at 5 s with equally great results. Finally i tested to see if would feather by drawing a slow line. Feathering was minimal on the card stock. The most important feature of this ink and possibly the least reported on is its permanent qualities. I immediately submerged the notecard with my writing sample in warm water. A minimal amount of bleed/fade was observed, hardly noticeable. I then poured 5 capfulls of chlorinated bleach directly onto the notecard and allowed to soak for 1 hr. As shown in the picture there was some fading, yet the words are still very visible. I tried various other solvants including shout, 409, oxyclean, vinigar, lemon juice, acetone with no effect. By the end i had almost completely washed away the ruling lines on the notecard but the noodlers remained strong. What drove it home was the control test, which was done using watarman's standard blue ink. This ink is not bulletproof. In water it faded about 50% and 2 capfulls of bleach faded the ink within seconds leaving absolutely no trace of ink. This really drove home that if you use a fountain pen to sign checks or anything else important, it is absoutely essential to get bulletproof ink! See the attached pictures!

My favorite ink so far
This ink has gotten some bad press here and I'm going to hopefully clear that up. This ink is indeed all the things it claims (bulletproof, eternal, forgery-resistant, waterproof). The waterproof means, if it gets wet, you'll be able to still legibly read it - which you can. Some of it may run off - most waterproof inks I've had run a bit - Noodler's or otherwise.Additionally - this ink is extremely fraud-resistant and will show signs of any tampering. The smearing and getting ink all over when wet is a part of this security. This ink is part of the Warden's series and was meant to show evidence of most any forgery including techniques not widely used yet (new solvents, lasers, etc). Show, something will remain or show up indicating forgery - it may not be completely legible or pretty, but it will tip someone off it's been messed with. The ink writes very well. It flows well, no nib creep for me, not too thick of a line or too dry. The color is what got me the most though - a great dark blue, not unlike denim as others have said. It has more depth to it though than a typical 'blue-black'. This and my Heart of Darkness are my 2 daily writers. Most other inks get changed out at some point.I also love the value of this specific ink (and Noodler's in general). You get a big 3oz bottle. I love a lot of the Eternal series by Noodler's but those are only 1oz and cost a dollar more typically. All great inks and values, just this one surpasses them all.
