Barebones Living Canyon Lantern

This is a unique, mostly metal lantern. It looks like an old railroad or mining lantern, but is rechargeable. Just make sure you charge it before camping trips, as it tends to discharge just sitting for months. The size, shape and rigid handle make it a bit awkward to pack when you have limited space to pack all your gear in the car, but you can fit it into a nook or cranny somewhere. Beware that others will grab it for trips to the bathroom or whatever while you are sitting around the campsite at night, because it looks interesting. I had trouble charging it the first time, but maybe I didn't use the included charger and tried to use a generic wall wart (I don't recall). No problems since.

Great lantern. What sets it apart from others is the variable control on brightness and battery charge indicator that goes off when the light is off so as not to be a nuisance or drain the battery. Love the design. Its metal, mostly, but I doubt water resistant. Great light for by the bed even if you like to leap up at 3 am to see what that noise is in the house and can't reach or find the light switch.

Poor quality and Poor customer service. I had one of these fail 90 days after I purchased it. after multiple emails over a couple of weeks asking for a RA# to return it, they finally replied and sent me a replacement. the replacement was a little rusty but would take a charge. it worked great for a few minutes then would not turn off. these lanterns sure look impressive but are very unreliable.

This lantern is awesome. well constructed all the features I need to stay illuminated and connected. will be purchasing additional units for car and emergency kits. I like the fact that its compatible with my GOAL ZERO solar charger.

Set on my shelf for months, made sure to engage light and drain then recharge a couple times. I finally went to use it and the light will not turn on unless the lantern is connected to ac. Very cool looking... ultimately useless though.

Awesome lights! Great look, real metal casing. Dimmable function is great, used as a nightlight in my sons room in a cabin, on the low setting. Great light!

It a few hrs to charge but holy cow what a light! I'd recommend this one to anybody.

Recommend it to everyone I know. Coolest gadget I've purchased for a while.
