Q: is the stainless steel 18/10 or 18/0 or other? Also, is the stainless steel on the exterior, interior, or both? Thanks

I found a site that says it is 18/10. Since 18/0 is prone to rust, I can tell you this little baby is rust-free and wonderful. I love this steamer. Just get it going first before you start your coffee prep. I use about a half vessel of water to get good steam production. I cannot love a kitchen or coffee gadget any more than this...with possible exception of my Bialetti espresso pot. Get it. You will love it. Also get a good milk frothing pot to go with it.

Q: What happens if I forget to open the valve is it going to explode or does it have a security outlet/valve?

Good question. If you look at the handle in the pic, you will see small hole(s) in the metal portion close to the vessel itself. This is the safety pressure relief ports. Much like my Bialetti espresso maker that has a relief valve, the Bellman is also very safe. It is a fantastic product. It allows me to make my cappuccino time to be a Zen time for me. I can’t recommend Bellman enough! - Tim

Q: Does this item work on induction stoves?

Induction stoves work with cookware that is magnetic such as cast iron and other metal cookware. I would have thought this would work, but to be sure I went down and got a magnet from my toolbox. Turns out this Bellman unit is not magnetic after all. Perhaps someone else can confirm from their experience, but I would be cautious at this point.

Q: What size replacement gaskets does this take?

There are various gaskets that this Bellman unit uses. I use prima-coffee.com as my Bellman resource. If you search in their site by brand, you will see the various gaskets. I only had to replace one when I ran it dry. It is heavy enough that I was fooled thinking it had water in it! Other than that I have no had no gasket issues. However Prima Coffee has all gaskets available.
