Piscifun® 12pcs Fly Fishing Flies Set Butterfly Like Trout Bass Floating Fishing Lure

Although I have yet to get these in a river, I was truly amazed at the quality, the colors, the realism and price of this set of flies. Having fished my entire life, one thing I can attest to is knowing what works. I've fished the rivers in Alaska and the mountains of North Georgia and in between. You can't buy flies of this quality for less. And if like me, the hands are just too old to tie flies. Then grab these. You won't be sorry. I'm heading to the mountains in 3 days. I honestly can't wait to try these out. If possible I will update. Or rather if lucky. Definitely recommend adding this set to your tackle.

Great buy! I purchased these for my 18 year old Son for Christmas along with some other fly gear. We intend on going trout fishing in a stream here in Missouri soon. But, before we hit the stream we decided to try these out on the lake that we live on. We often fish it for Bluegill, Bass, Crappie, Catfish, etc. on various baits. My 9 year old boy hooked up a fly to a cane pole and the action started! He had a blast catching Bluegill and Bass and we put some of the flies through a beating in a couple of hours. We did not break one, they stayed tied tight and it was a great time. All 4 of my boys ended up with them on thanks to the example set by the youngest. Funny how that works sometimes. So, in short, they work, they are certainly worth the price. I often visit Bass Pro and spend too much money but have found that this Company has great prices on their gear. I checked out their site and found a bag that I might try out and of course more flies because I am sure that my boys will end up with all of these and Dad needs some too right?

Full disclosure: I am a beginning fly fisherman. I have been fishing high-pressure freestone creeks in Colorado and doing OK, not great. I fish Tenkara. I've fished these butterflies twice. On either my braided line or my tapered mono line, they float to the surface and land gently just like you want them to. They are gorgeous to see and I consider them little pieces of art, HOWEVER, you absolutely need to treat them with floatant - preferably the desiccating crystals like Loon Top Ride or they will turn into little wet shapeless wads tied to a hook. Treated properly, they float beautifully and maintain their shape. Having said that, I was successful and caught a lovely Brook trout on one of these the other day, and then was disappointed to realize that the hook was BARBED. Bad karma. I went home and debarbed all these hooks. -1

Panfish and bluegills will tear it up, great product.

On the surface these flies look pretty decent. However, when pinching the barb closed the entire hook end broke off, ricocheted to my forehead and is now lost somewhere in with my couch or carpet. I know the only way I'll find that missing piece will be when I'm least expecting it while walking barefoot.For something labeled "Hi Qualitg", yes, with the "g", I suppose I can't honestly expect too much.

Good dry lure, good variety of colors, and seem to be durable. The price is excellent for a beginner making a lot of mistakes if I lose a fly I'm not breaking the bank. I'd buy them again if I mess up and need more.

I have a ponf in my yard and recently purchased a fly rod from a garage sale. These flies looked great and the price was right. I tied one on and with minutes had caught a blugill. Fun stuff

Great flies I used them for ice fishing I put a fly a above my jig lure and will catch doubles as they love the flies.
