I looked at a lot of these harness before selecting this one for my rear leg paralyzed 70# bernese mountain dog, Emmy. She lost the use of her back legs (possibly degenerative myelopathy, possibly a spinal stroke) and now we go on walks with a great cart made by K-9 carts. I use a hind quarter sling constantly when we are just going out to potty, and for short distances inside. She only uses the K-9 cart for outdoor walks. But stairs are a danger for the both of us. I have been carrying her and my back is starting to complain. Picking her up is rather like picking up a 70# bean bag. This harness, with the free bonus bridge handle is PERFECT. Now I can lift her front easily and securely with the harness and lift her back legs with the sling. She was always frightened when I carried her down stairs, and this morning we went down a short flight easily and she was clearly quite happy with our new vastly improved system. Wish I had thought of this months ago. Well made. Clever design. Very adjustable. And the bridge handle is wonderful. Much much safer for both of us. A fall while carrying her would have been dreadful. Highly recommend. Her front half still works great. She pulls like a steam engine. Very grateful to have found a better way. Thank you. By the way, I also love the K-9 cart, sold on Amazon. I purchased directly from site as they were back-ordered on Amazon at the time. It costs a bit more than others, but it is worth it. Slick design. Solid construction. Highly adjustable. Easy to clean. Both items USA made. Both great!!!

We’re training my rescued 13 month old, 75 pound German Shepherd/Husky mix to be my service dog. He’s so strong! This harness is great. It’s adjustable so it fits well and it’s sturdy! He still pulls some, but I don’t have to worry because this vest isn’t flimsy. I compared it to another vest that I purchased for MUCH more money, and this vest was far superior. I returned the other one. Very happy with this vest and all the accessories. If I had to pick one thing to improve, I wish the straps that go around his neck and chest were padded. I sew, so I made some sherpa covers to make it more comfortable. But even without the covers, my pup didn’t seem to mind!

I recently got a service dog and he was in need of a new harness. This harness is great, it's everything it was promised, easy to fit etc. 5 stars for the harness. However, these ADA cards are something else. They are full of typos, bad punctuation and misspellings. It's just cards so I am not about to return the whole package over that, but they might want to get an editor on this. I would not give this card to someone to explain how service dogs work, because it looks like it was written by a scammer from Nigeria. Plus the law doesn't require me to give anyone that card. So my suggestion is, either edit it into proper English or discontinue it. I don't want new cards or anything...just throwing that out there. I also want to disagree with a review I read about the handle for the harness. Someone else wrote that the handle was too short unless you are under 5'6". As a result of that review I ordered a 12" handle (which was an extra, beyond the handle that came with it). I am 5'8" and I found the smaller one to be an appropriate height. I will be returning the 12" one only because it turns out I didn't need it. Like I said, though...harness is great. :)

Added info: It's been almost a year of hard use and this vest and handle are still going strong. He fills it out more now than he did a year ago but it's still comfortable and just snug enough to be great for mobility work. This is a nice combination for a service dog. My dog is a lab/dane cross and difficult to fit properly in almost everything. He sits right in that spot between L and XL. We figured we'd try the large and exchange it if he needed it bigger. The large does well and gives a bit of extra room if he puts on a pound or too. He is a diabetes alert, PTSD and mobility dog. His last vest that we wore out didn't have the extra handle and it worked ok but the bridge handle makes it much more comfortable for both of us. I think because we will wear it possibly more than most we'll probably add a bit of fleece around the straps. They're perfectly serviceable as is but my boy has really sensitive skin so it'll just make it a bit more comfortable for him. When I bought it I was concerned that the hardware looked like it was plastic and it might not be as durable as the last one we had. When it arrived though it was all metal except the tummy buckle. Our old one had a lock on it and this one doesn't but it closes solidly so I'm not too concerned. We wont use the card thing but the actual cards are nice. We don't run into access problems often, but I like having something with me that has the ADA information on it just in case, it just makes things simpler. It helps that my boy is a professional. He does look handsome in the bright red against his black fur. I loved the fact that our old service dog patches also fit this vest so we can use the old beat up ones when we're doing things that will be hard on them and save the pretty new ones for occasions we want to look nicer. The material on this vest is very easily cleaned which I love. If you have a genuine service dog I recommend this highly. If not leave your dog at home.

I love this service vest! The sizing is spot on. My dog is 19’ and I got size small. Perfect. I got the bright green color and its bright and eye catching. The vest is well made and sturdy. The badges on the sides of the vest are visible and easy to read. I like the sturdiness of the bridge handle but I do wish it was a little longer. My dog is a little short for this bridge handle. The ID holder is cheap looking but I don’t use it anyway so it’s basically just a free bonus item. I like the ADA cards. They are good quality card stock. I would recommend this vest to others. It’s a good quality vest.

the harniss fit good but we had an extra piece that we are not sure of what it is used for. the only issue I had the personal handle is way to short. I had to order another kind of handle and hope it fits the harness. yours was 6" and i needed a 12" for it to be comfortable.
