Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about this product.Pros:- Looks and feels like good quality: the black cases around the connectors seem to be metal; the nylon braided cables seem very sturdy and inspire much more confidence than the adapter I got with my phone (see photo of them next to each other); the male USB-C ending comes with a cap to protect it, which I find a nice touch.- Good sound quality.- Stating the obvious here, it allows getting audio (both ways) while also charging.Cons (on my unit, I don't know if it is a generalized problem):- The headphone jack connector offers a lot of (and too much) resistance on the last couple of millimeters, so much so that I initially thought my jack really couldn't go fully in.- There is a connection issue with the male USB-C connector: there is a bit of play and there is a position that causes bad contact. When it happens: The charging stops; if on YouTube, it triggers a pause; when on the phone, it can result in loss of sound or calls being ended. To avoid such issues, it's better to have the adapter flat and still on a table for example. This is rather annoying; but this being said, this is an adapter that allows charging at the same time as getting audio, which for me means that I would mostly use it in a setup where it and the phone are still on a flat surface. Unless I really need a charge, I'm anyway using a different smaller and lighter adapter...

Excellent for its intended purpose might lack durability
Ok so when product first arrived it was amazing worked perfectly with my Xperia z3 however about half a month later the charging connection has become tempermental headphones work fine but charging disconnects and reconnects I don't want to send it back as it is so cheap will buy another and hope for better spot of luck

Exactly what i was looking for
The cable is strong and sturdy. Now i can charge my phone at work while listen to music or answering a phone call. The phone should have had a headphone connection in the first place but as it didn't this adapter works a treat.The quality of the music is the exact same as connecting it through the headphones directly and it also have the capability to connect a headphone/microphone in the 3.5 connection.The price was also good. Highly recommended

I bought it for my MOTO Z. It does exactly what it's supposed to do! I can fast charge the phone and listen to my wired earphones at the same time. The control buttons on the earphone cable even work. I'll be ordering another one for my wife.It has a nice metallic shell for the larger section, hard plastic for the plug . Perfect!

Not for the new iPad Pro's (2018) with USB-C
If you're looking for a way to charge your brand new iPad Pro and listen to music at the same time this ISN'T IT! Look elsewhere as this doesn't work at all.

Too short a life considering the price
Purchased this adapter as had hoped that the slightly higher price point when compared to equivalent items would mean a longer life. Sadly, less than two months after purchase I began to experience issues with audio crackling whenever the connected 3.5mm cable was moved slightly. Now the adapter flat out doesn't work, with my phone failing to recognise any device/cable that is connected through it.

They don't last
I've had 2 of these now and both worked perfectly for around 6 months and then after that either don't charge property or the aux connection fades so you can't use headphones with it. Shame that these are cheaply made. If anyone can recommend a more durable option please feel free to let me know!

Absolute trash
It's refreshing when you buy a product you suspect might suck, only to find it's hard wearing and exceeds your expectations. Unfortunately, this product just sucks. It stopped charging within about a week and a half of receiving it. It's trash.
