Unfortunate circumstance
I was very excited to get this product. The reviews seemed exceptional. What arrived is an "ALVA" Bluetooth Transmitter instead of the "Azeca" Bluetooth Transmitter. The model number of BTT005 was the same, so possibly just a name change, which is not uncommon. As soon as the item arrived I opened the package and charged the transmitter until the light went out (per instructions). I plugged it into my Zune120 and paired it with my HBS-700 LG Bluetooth Headset. Very easy to do, and takes about 15 seconds total. The problem is that the sound was only coming out of the left side of the ear-buds. I plugged a regular set of ear buds in to ensure it was not the Zune's headphone jack, and it worked fine. I paired the LG headset with my phone and played a song and they also worked great. I plugged the Transmitter into my wife's iPod and it still only played out the left side of the headphones. So this morning I filed for my RMA and there is a replacement on its way. The range and clarity is exceptional, so I am hoping I do not have to buy a different type if the second one has issues as well.On a side note, I am rather disappointed that I paid for 2 day shipping to get the first one, and Amazon is estimating the replacement arriving in 2 to 4 WEEKS. Not cool at all.

beware of the echo
I bought this product to wirelessly extend my current iPod output to a second pair of speakers in an adjoining room. What I didn't realize is that there is sometimes a delayed/echo effect with bluetooth. This is not a problem if you are playing to a single set of speakers, but when you try to extend wirelessly from a hard-wired source what you get instead is a nasty echo effect; the wired speakers play about a quarter second earlier than the bluetooth extension speakers. Unlistenable by anyone's standards. So: this device is basically useless to me. I strongly encourage anyone trying to get a similar multi-speaker-pairs extension scenario going to think twice before buying this. The echo is very very pronounced. For anyone just running a single pair of speakers this should work very well, though. I paired it quickly and easily and it had a range of 30+ feet without distortion just as advertised. For this reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 1.I find it slightly deceptive that this nasty echo effect isn't mentioned anywhere in the product description. It would save a lot of people trouble to be up front about this limitation. Or is my unit just defective?

This AZECA Transmitter Works Wonderfully For Me!
I have bought and used five separate brands of these type devices. Many of them look the same physically; but in my experience they are not equal. I bought an "Azeca Transmitter" in November 2012, and have been using it daily since then; it has preformed flawlessly, wonderfully -- with about 20% more volume than others that I have used. I originally paid $36.65 for this at Amazon. I later tried buying, "GoGroove", "Britelink" and "WCI Quality", brands because they all look the same with the same functionality for $6.00 to $10.00 less money; but these "off brands" have failed me much of the time. All of the other Transmitters have failed except the "Azeca" brand.Today I returned the Britelink, and GoGroove devices and have reordered the Azeca Transmitter. It is possible that they are all -- of this configuration -- made by the same manufacturer. They may be "re-branding" out to smaller companies under various names; (this is purely conjecture on my part). So, I repeat; today I am reordering the "Azeca" brand transmitter for $33.73 (less than I paid last year) to be a back-up unit that charges while I use the other that I have been using for ten months or so every day. I use this Bluetooth Transmitter to send audio data signals to a similar Bluetooth Receiver that I plug into my high quality Skullcandy "Aviator" stereo headphones, the source -- my laptop, hearing amplifier, TV, radio, et cetera.I may have been "Penny-wise" and "Pound-Foolish" trying to save a few bucks in buying the other brands. But it was worth trying, since they all look the same. I will say that returning them right away went pretty well so far. They sent a UPS truck to pick-up the package and the driver had the prepaid, prepared "UPS Shipping Label" to affix to the return package. I appreciate this. I just hope that they will credit my bankcard soon.On the other hand I have several devices that I waited past the "return period"; going through a warranty process is a 'beach', you have to pay for shipping and wait some more for a replacement. For me Azeca is a "Thumbs Up", it has worked perfectly for 10 months of daily use, with very good sound quality and an 20% increase of potential volume. I recommend this based on my positive experience with the device. Knock-on-wood.Namaste
