I was able to attach a small light accessory without any fuss, and the 1/4" thread on the bottom makes it just as easy to thread onto a tripod or selfie stick. One thing worth noting is that the quick-release latch that secures the camera is positioned fairly close to the record button. It's not something that causes issues under normal use, but it's worth being aware of while you're still getting used to the layout - just a matter of building that muscle memory. One thing to keep in mind is that the battery compartment door cannot be opened while the camera is mounted in the cage, so you'll need to pop the camera out to swap batteries. The vertical mount on the door also is magnetized as shown in the picture with the cage on white. The cage is on a metal drawer. The only potential long-term wear points appear to be the spring components, specifically the door lever and the shutter button extension. Springs are convenient for usability, but they are also typically the parts most likely to wear down over time. Aside from that, the overall construction feels solid and durable.

I really like this action camera cage. It fits perfectly and looks every sleek and great quality. One of the things I really liked about this camera cage is that it has the vertical mount placements, so you can place it vertically as well. Overall, I will recommend this product to someone!!!

Another nice product from Neewer. light weight, and functional design, adds a cold shoe, a lanyard attachment point, and 1/4" - 20 threaded mount, the magnetic quick release gives you both a vertical and horizontal mounting point. The frame is durable and offers a bit of protection from dings and scratches. The cage allows quick access to all the necessary areas of the camera. It's very light weight and hardly noticeable when in use. My only concern is the release slide is close to the record button, I have hit the slide that releases the door that holds the camera securely inside the cage, I haven't quite opened it yet but in fumbling around I'm sure it's only a matter of time. However, this is not a product issue but a pay more attention issue for me just because I hit it doesn't mean you will
