Great camera in like new condition
I absolutely love this camera. I am a hobby photographer and this camera fit the needs I was looking for: great image quality, ease of use, features that I wanted. Plus I could not distinguish this from a new camera. Everything seemed brand new and I registered the camera for a normal warranty. What more could you ask for? Stop comparing and get this one.More in-depth if interested:There are plenty of fine cameras on the market right now and the M50 most closely aligned with what I was looking for. I shoot mostly stills and a little video, but when I do need video, I need features that this camera has. I regularly shoot stills in manual mode for hobby projects, but when I’m out with my family or when I want to hand the camera to my 7yo to take some pictures I want a nice auto mode. I have owned mid-level cameras from Nikon, Fujifilm and Olympus and they were all great. If you’re using manual mode then everything is up to you. Great shot? it’s all you, bad shot? it’s all you. Seriously, it’s the archer not the arrow.Where the M50 separates is the auto mode. Seems silly right? Actually, no. It takes much better pictures and handles proper exposure better than any other camera I have used in that mode. Why does that matter? Sometimes I just need to turn on the camera and get a shot of my kids, etc... if it’s not exposed at least as well as my phone does it’s useless. The M50 does better plus the significantly larger sensor gives you so much more room to crop, etc... than your phone. And if you shoot compressed raw, much more flexibility later. You will also have more of a future with the family photos you take if you want to make a calendar or possibly print photos later. Once you get out of auto mode, this camera will leave your phone in the dust. And yes, even the latest greatest iPhone 11, etc... Who prints photos anyway? I do. I like pictures on the wall and grandparents love a printed and framed photo for a gift. This camera delivers where your phone won’t.Canon colors? Straight out of camera they’re great! I particularly like how the M50 handles reds and oranges (personal preference). All of the manufacturers have perfectly fine color science though so it’s just a matter of preference. If you like to mess around with your photos in light room, let’s be serious here, it really doesn’t matter whether you use fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, Olympus or whatever. The software will take the colors pretty much wherever you want. I will say though that the new compressed raw format on this camera is great. I now just shoot everything in compressed raw format as it is pretty close in file size to fine jpg. The c-raw format on this camera has no problems in lightroom and works great. Let’s quickly mention ISO: anything above 3200 is pretty much useless for anything other than social media on a small screen. That is the only con to this camera. With the kit lens it is not great in low light. If you buy a 22mm prime used for $100 or so, the camera is perfectly fine in low light. Problem solved. All in all the M50 is a great overall camera and if you get the 22mm lens, it fits in your coat pocket and takes even sharper stills and video in low light.

Great budget vlog camera!
I like to make travel videos and used to use my phone, but the quality was not that impressive, so I needed a real camera that had the ability to capture in at least 1080p at 60fps. This camera caught my eye as it is reasonably priced and had a decent capture rate.Pros:Can record in 4k with lower frame rateCan work with external microphone as camera comes with shoe mountCons:Camera stabilization is not great. Most likely need to invest in a gimbalQuite small to hold, can be tricky to set up. Also, very light.Overall, a solid 8/10 camera for those budget vloggers like me.

Small but mighty
I’ve been using this camera for six years now and it is such a great staple. Excellent for Vlogs with the wider lens option and light body. I’ve used it to photograph weddings, portraits, and family pictures. I love that it’s small and compact and that the screen turns inside to protect the glass. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful at a great price.
Don't listen to the person who said the iPhone has a better camera, obviously they're stuck on Apple. So the people that said this isn't an easy to use camera get a point and shoot because this is meant for a little bit higher grade but not quite professional in my opinion. However the pictures I take with this I do not see any difference then the Fuji that we spent over $1,000 on. The autofocus works pretty good there are some issues with video and 4K but that's a known thing such as cropping and the facial tracking with large amounts of people or fast movements. However this thing is not a video camera but it does do video well.I got mine refurbished for around $500 during that time the market was crazy high and that was a reasonable deal. Camera looks and feels like new, the only thing I saw was the generic box with Canon serial number to show it wasn't new. My wife's m50 is new and shoots the exact same. When we go out on shiits she has picked up mine aka No difference. The stromg features is thr lens compatible as EF will work with an adaptet even auto focus. Know your crop before buying a lens and complaining the nice 75-300 lens has a min distance of at least 4 foot to shoot from and even that can be to close for some. I shoot 6foot from the object even when doing Marco shoots. I was able to get a clear moving plane picture during a storm which was epic, but you do need a rain guard or bad as this thing isnt weather sealed!! But for 500+ you get an amazing camera with cool features a wonderful auto focus and good video recording. If vloging is what you want this for it can do it just isn't as good as the z5 in my opinion but again you can't beat this price.Buy it or don't but those who have them love the 24 megapixel sensor, autofocus, compatibility of lenses, quality and price.

Doesn’t work :’(
The media could not be loaded. Just got my camera today and it is not working. I’ma wedding videographer so I’m not new to Canon cameras. This one seems to have a serious issue as you can see in the video. I was really excited to get this camera but now I’ll have to go through the whole exchange process and wait another week for a new one. So disappointed.

Exactly what we needed!
This is the second one we've purchased, these are such great cameras! The first one I'm using for my YouTube channel, and the second one we are using for our Photo Booth! As wedding photographers we bring our booth to weddings and the M50 connects beautifully to our iPad! Light, sharp, and a heck of a work horse!
