Good buy!
Installation was so quick and easy. Pairing the monster with the camera was the easiest I’ve ever done. Camera has a wide field of view and a clear image.

LOVE this.
We just got back from our 2nd camping trip with this. It sure does give us peace of mind when traveling down the road. The only thing we had to figure out the hard way is that our truck headlights have to be ON for the power to work. But we can watch the back end while traveling. And its extremely helpful while backing up. Since the camera has a microphone, I could talk to my husband at the back of the camper rather than having to yell. And we left the camera mounted on the trailer and just covered the camper with a tarp for the winter. No problems at all. We highly recommend this product and are looking forward to upgrading and adding more cameras. I'd like to put one pointing to the hitch while we're traveling. We turned and our electrical cord moved and got pinched. We would have known that if we had a 2nd camera!!!

Back it up
Short answer, it does what it states and works as advertised. It functions as a backup camera. However I was hoping for a bit more. I was hoping this could function as a rear view camera. Not so much.... Frist the pros... -clear picture and adiquite field of view to see the full width of the trailer. -when angled downward just above the rear bumper, this gives solid assurance and confidence when backing into a spot. -night vision works. -it does have one way audio (driver can hear their spotter) -setup took about 30 mins (my camper came with the voyager prep kit, so power wiring and mounting plate were prep installed.) -pairing the camera isn't complicated at all. The on screen instructions walk you though it. 1)connect power to monitor, 2)press and hold pair button, 3)turn on power to camera (usually done by turning on running / marker lights). The bad... -picture is virtually unusable at highway speed. The refresh rate is too slow to be usable, and the stop motion becomes distracting while driving. -the picture cuts out as speed as well, I haven't noticed this at low speed yet. -the wide angle lens while useful for seeing the "big picture" distorts distance at the high corners of your rig. It's nearly impossible to judge if your going to hit a low hanging branch (or in my case the eves of a building where I store my rig.) Overall this is a good product, but at $300 I feel like there's room for improvement. I'll admit I was hoping for more, but it does do what it plainly states. If you need it, get it. This could save you a costly repair. Still, this is no replacement for experience or a good spotter. Also I recommend (even with the prep kit model) I strongly recommend using sealant when installing. Rain water and fiberglass walls don't agree.

Not waterproof!
This camera worked great for a couple of years, though once water got into the camera it is basically useless it is a cloudy day. If it is too bright, the camera gets a halo around it reducing your field of view to just a few feet. If it is too hot, then you can't see anything. And if it is at night it is basically useless. Upgrading to a camera that has a stated IP69K rating.

Not really rain proof
We got the camera on time, and installed it right away over the existing wires for WiSight technology. The installation took me like 10 minutes, including sealing it with a water proof sealant. During the first few short trips, it worked beautifully. I had to put my lights on to be able to use it all the time while driving - as I was expecting. Then we took a 1900 miles all the way from Seattle to San Diego, but on the day we left it was raining all the way, and really bad. The camera couldn't take it and some condensation got into the camera. Now it is almost useless because the water is in the way and blocks half of the view during the day, and the IR lights get fully reflected on it during night making it completely useless. The return window was like a month ago, so I can't return it to amazon. Don't buy it if you plan to take it on the road for more than 300 miles. It can't withstand the pressure difference and being under heavy rain. Too bad it was a full waste of money.

Moisture forms inside the camera lens
The Winnebago Mini travel trailer we purchase came prewired for this camera system's installation. I installed the camera on the tail end of the travel trailer and it seemed to work just fine. The trailer remained under roof after the camera installation until we left Ohio for Florida in December. After stopping for lunch in Corbin, Ky and restarting our pickup truck, I could see very little out camera. Got out to clean off the camera lens and saw that moisture had formed inside the camera lens! The trailer/camera had never been outside our pole until we drove to Corbin, Ky and it was a dry day on the road. The camera lens is obviously not sealed and moisture condensation clouds with the lens with outside temperature changes. Contacted vendor and vendor sent a replacement camera - hence the 5-star mentor rating. Headed to Florida and will see if this camera lens stays sealed to outside moisture. Thank you Vendor for your help!

Clear Backup View!
Backup camera for RV is exactly the style our rv was presided for which made installing a snap! Quality of camera is clear but adjusting the site view must be done manually. Getting the camera to turn on was a bit tricky simply because instruction was terribly clear but once we figured it out it worked beautifully! Good deal!!

We are still in winter here so I couldn't install it yet. However, instructions are clear and I was able to test it using two batteries that I store inside during the winter. Configuration was easy and the image was very clear. I had the camera in one end of the house and the screen at the other (about 40 feet) and the signal was strong and clear. If it works the same on the trailer and truck combo I'll be very happy.
