This was my nerdy son's favorite Christmas present. He got three different Snap Circuits kits and this was his favorite of the three. I purchased this one because it was cheaper than some of the others. So I'm very pleased. I love the Snap Circuit kits because they are fun and educational. I have not touched the thing, so I can't say I know about ease of assembly or quality of instructions, but my 8 yo could figure it all out on his own, so it's probably pretty approachable.

Perfect for my son! He has shown interest in electricity so this was perfect for his Christmas present! The function works great, it’s a great educational resource STEM project. The instructions were clean and the magnetic capabilities make it easy to use. It was worth the money!

He loves building with bricks while learning real electronics concepts—an awesome STEAM experience rolled into one sleek package.

For the kids (or adults) that like to do the Lego type builds and add a little extra, this is perfect. The set is fairly limited in size, so perhaps a larger more universal set would be nice. As with all these types though you can just keep adding and adding to your hearts content and it only gets bigger and better. Well made, and is fun to see what can be created. Kind of reminds me of a modern day take on the classic old school metal erector set that was complete with motors and pulls and gears type of setup.

Arrived as promised. Good quality. My grandson has spent hours playing with this. He sets it up to interact with another set he has. He was 6 when I got it for him and had no trouble figuring it out. Great way for him learn about circuits and energy transfer. He does demonstrations to the adults and gets his 3yo brother and adults involved in games that can be played with the circuits. Overall it is a great value for the money and I highly recommend.

Was worth the price, watching my grand son, Christmas day working on the kit more than other things. Seems to be well made, with somewhat good instructions. Maybe a better education, instructions, how it would work in real life.

I got this for my son's 5th birthday. He received a bunch of LEGO sets at the same time so it worked out perfectly, as this particular Snap Circuits set can connect to LEGOs. I'm doing the circuitry for him but showing him what I'm doing so he's starting to understand how it all snaps together. If he was another year older I could probably trust him to do the circuitry himself since it's super easy to connect, you just need to understand enough not to create a short circuit (which is also explained in the manual that comes with the set). For now he was able to build his own house and I helped him set up a light inside it and he loves it so much he keeps it turned on in his room overnight. From what I can tell the other Snap Circuit sets don't connect to LEGOs but they do connect to the little adapter pieces this set comes with, so I may pick up more to build more complex projects in the future. I like that it works as a toy but also helps build interest in science.

Bought for 11 Year old boy and was very much enjoyed.

Brought for my 10 year old nephew. He loves it! Really good stem toy to get him started in understanding electricity. Will be buying more of the add on packs for xmas
