These appear to be made of a rough exterior material (as opposed to gluing sand to a sponge) so they don't leave behind grains of grit. Last long and make sanding much easier that a hard block (which too often cuts all the way through the paint to show the primer or base material).

I use this for cleaning. You can scrape off the limestone residue from hard water by scrabbling with this sponge. It works well. But as you use, it gradually wear off. So you will need multiple.

This worked really well when used to sand between coats and spackling. I am very pleased with this purchase and the number you get with it. If I were to be constructively critical, I might suggest they make one of the edges angled to assist with the occasional challenging spot. Also, because you get a box full, numbering each unit so that you can keep track of them and not just keep going back to the box because you know you have a ton, would save time and waste (if especially if you’re working around other contractors who might have similar-looking units lying around).

When I received this product my first impression is that it's coarse, which is deceiving, because after using it on several projects, it truly is extra fine grit and I am definitely sold on this awesome product. I have purchased these a couple of times already and I will continue to order more in the future. It is a great product.

I've been using these for probably 20 years and they are the best sanding sponges I've ever used for finishing between coats..don't buy the cheap sponges ..Buy these you get what you pay for

This is just the right size for my hand and I had been looking for something this size for a long time. A good buy and of good quality!

I used this in between coats of lacquer. It is something I have used for years. I use the air and electric Sanders as well but this is for fine tuning between coats when you want to do just enough to get the next coating applied. The sand sponges last forever.

I use quite a few of these and there are consistency issues. When you get a good pack they work great and last a long time, but about 1 out of 3 packs I get are just terrible quality. The adhesive in these bad packs breaks down quickly and also causes the abrasive to clog up quickly so the life span is quite short. I am currently looking for an alternative that will provide a consistently good product.

3M font des excellents produits cependant pour ces pads, le grain dit -extra fin - était plutôt grossier ( 220?) Je m’attendais à un 320 / 420 ! Pas le cas bref, trop rude pour la finition de ma peinture à la craie! Je vais quand même les utiliser pour autre chose!

These are advertised as extra fine but feel like about 220 grit. I bought them for sanding primer on a car restoration project but they don't cut as well as as the 3M 320 grit paper that I have been using.
