Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Plumbing Updated 7th Edition: Completely Updated to Current Codes

This book was extremely helpful when I needed to repair and replace some of my plumbing. I keep it in easy reach.

I planned to replace my 70 year old steel plumbing system and had glanced at this book in stores when it first came out deeming it not that useful. As the project came closer, more information was needed other than you tube videos, I discovered this book does have the information I needed. Planning out the system, number of fixtures, size of PEX to use and determining other factors about my plumbing where useful parts of this book. This wasn't a bible or step by step by step instructions on how to do things but a great reference before and during the project. Not part of a PEX install but I needed to correct the out flow tube from the hot water heater because it was to high off the floor. This book gave the correct measurements of 1 1/2" to 6" off the floor. Splendid. The project was a success and this book really helped.

It is easy to understand and well written. Covered a lot of areas but what I really wanted was the details on Pex.

If you are a DIY’r like myself, and you are considering tackling any sort of plumbing project, this is a must have book! Even though a lot of helpful information can be found online and on YouTube, this book consolidated all of that information in a very concise way, and is indexed to your specific plumbing project. The book is full of pictures and detailed descriptions to help you step by step!

Excellent book for those who like to do their own repairs. The more you learn the more money you can save.

Plumbing in my bathroom has seized. The sink, the valves below it and the immediate valves below that in my basement can't be closed. This book gives you the basic knowledge and no-how to understand what to do, plan ahead and fix these types of issues. It also informs you about the differences in pipe types. My house is over 60 years old, so I was interested in updating things a bit anyway.

Far from comprehensive or complete. Most of the projects they outline are described in bits and pieces, and often skips many important things for those of us who actually need to know all the steps. I would not recommend this book if you are a true beginner like I was.

Básico, para el propietario de una casa unifamiliar americana con estructura de madera, esa debiera ser la definición del libro. Algo tiene interesante, detalles importantes, va a ocupar en la libreria más de lo que vale. Quitando los de Treloar y Blower, aún no he visto un libro interesante de fontanería de una buena editorial. Sugerencias?

Easy to follow instructions with helpful pictures.

As a self-contractor, clients expect an expert but am I really 🤔. Well, with this book, I can now say with confidence that I am. All I need to do is refer to the chapter and section containing the task at hand. With crystal clear pictures, no mistaken. Instructions are in simple plain layman language. Need not to take up much of your time. I LOVE IT. AND RECOMMEND IT.

Easy to follow guides on plumbing with lots of pictures. This book is essential for homeowners, newbie plumbers, learners, and inexperienced plumbing designers. I recommend this even for experienced plumbers because it's a fantastic memory jogger.
