The right tool for the job
Well, there really is a proper tool for just about every job. For making notepads, this is the one. I stacked up my pads and glued the ends, and then I tried using a box cutter, a knife, and several other implements to separate them after the glue dried, but none of these really worked: Either they scarred the notepads or they didn't do a decent job of cutting through the glue. This is the proper tool, and it works perfectly.

If you make pads, buy this knife
I was reluctant to spend the money on this as I had never made pads before. So glad I ordered it. Trying to separate them with a regular knife or box cutter was incredibly frustrating. This product does exactly what it states it should. It makes the process so much easier.Like others, I'll note that this thing is very sharp. I wasn't careful when I was cutting my pads and cut myself a few times.

Who knew I needed this?
I’ve been repairing old books for my own use for years. Invariably I’d get a few pages where the glue needed to be cut back so the book would open completely. I’d use xacto blades and a lot of patience in the past, but with this knife the task is much simpler and the result is cleaner cuts. Very happy with this product

Need to Have
If you make your own books or bind your own note pads you probably already have a separating knife. I'm new to the process and found this little tool invaluable.
