I am able to steal my Landlord's WiFi across the street. (I had their permission)
Computer + N4000(The Product) > Connects to WiFiI am able to connect to my Landlord's WiFi, even its across the street with 3/4 bars, yet I live in their garage.*Easy Install for my Desktop, I just unplug my old USB WiFi Receiver, and plugged in the new one.*Not so Easy to install on my Laptop though, because my WiFi Receiver is pre-installed in my laptop, so... I went to the Device Manager in my Control Panel, opened up Network Adapters, then I selected the one that labeled "wireless", mine was named Intel Wireless-N 1000 (Will be different for everyone else), Right clicked on it and Left clicked on Disable Device. Then the New WiFi Receiver will do its thing automatically when its plugged in.If the driver did not automatically install, then the USB-driver or the small CD-driver will be useful to manually install the thing on your own.I purchased this item on September 25, 2018.Their wire cable is very long. Their Stand/Bracket is not very useful for me, because I took advantage of the long cable instead, and set it outside of my rented home. The White Plastic made this thing very light weighted, but their blue metal plate was a bit heavy( the antenna ).The WiFi range that I am able to receive was very far, as if I bought two $13 WiFi Receiver combined. Speaking of WiFi Receiver, this Model N4000 can only receive 2.4 Ghz WiFi signal, no 5 Ghz WiFi signal. Meaning this N4000 is very useful Long Distance uses, yet it has a limited amount of speed it will give you, depending on the WiFi router. In conclusion, its a great budget product over all to purchase if signal distance/range matters, for a WiFi Receiver... Wait... it's labeled as a WiFi Extender now? Huh, it is a WiFi Antenna, sounds more useful now its labeled as WiFi Extender.

Piece of junk, never really worked properly
Maybe this is intended for Windows 8. It failed to work consistently on several Win 10 computers. The reception was ok when it worked but the USB antennae disappears randomly as a detected wifi device. Past the return period now so I guess I’m outta luck. I bought a TP LINK product to replace it which is 10x the quality and features (and better signal) for the same price. Don’t make my mistake, consider this one a HARD PASS and get something else.

Excellent performing 2.4 GHz antenna
It is very versatile when installing. I use it between 2 buildings on my property and have experienced excellent performance. I have worked with all types of antennae in my career in the intelligence world and this antenna performs as well as far more expensive arrays. Simple to install for the non-technical individual.

Performed as seller described more or less
Installed unit about 150 ft from wireless router with no obstacles. Outdoor installation about 12 ft above ground, WiFi signal strength increased significantly over thumb drive USB WiFi adapter. Seven more WiFi sources were displayed. Software driver installation a little tricky on DOS 7, instructions are confusing but the product functions well, would buy it again. Signal strength diminishes on rainy days. Driver Disk included with product is made of very brittle plastic, shattered disk when computer was accidentally set on top of it. Used a USB extension cable with integral amplifier to achieve suitable distance from PC.

Well designed Patch antenna
Well, I took it apart! inside I was impressed by the quality of the PC board based Patch antenna that is an engineering standard in the UHF range. Now, what you really want to know; I went from intermittent 1 bar on wifi to 5 solid. It really worked. My shop is 150 to 200 feet from the wifi router. The driver was already in WIndows 10, no installation, just "plug-in-play". They did include both a CD and a thumb drive with driver... I didn't need either.Nice product!

Works better than Nothing.
This product definitely works as described. My computer went from seeing absolutely no Wi-Fi to seeing all of my neighbors Wi-Fi. I don't pay for internet but now I am able to use my parents Wi-Fi about 400 ft away. The connection speed is very slow, but it is better than nothing. I have a hard time streaming YouTube videos, but I can download them in the 3gp file format, which is high compression, and still be able to watch my videos. This thing definitely works for the price. I have only had it for about a week. If this thing continues to work, it is definitely worth the price and not buying one of the more expensive $300 ones. In order to save the USB connection, which seems kind of flimsy, I have it plugged into a USB extension and I only unplug and plug in the extension into my laptop, I hardly ever unplug the actual device from the extension. The cable length was just barely long enough for what I needed, if you have this thing mounted outside (I didn't have to in order to see the wifi connections but outside up high gave me better speeds) your computer is going to need to be next to the wall adjacent to the device. One of the other reviews complained that they didn't explain properly how to use this with a router that was also under the same brand. You do not, do not, need to mess with the router at all. This device is an antenna for your computer and has absolutely nothing to do with the router you are trying to use the internet from. On my Windows 10 machine it was plug and play and I did not have to install the software. I would not suggest installing the software, it honestly does not seem all that great. As far as the device working at all it kind of seems like a 50/50 shot, I have four different computers and the device will only work with two of them, I did not use any of the software included with any of the computers.TLDR: this device is at the very least worth a try. I have only had the device for about a week. So far so good. Plug and Play very easy. Hopefully this comment helps, I was skeptical at first but I'm very happy. I will edit this if anything changes.
