Excellent Book for the beginner!
I am able to understand the concepts noted in this book without having to re-read eanch chapter. Each free moment is being spent reading chapter after chapter.

A good Beginner's Guide as stated in the title.
This review pertains only to the first half of the book, which I used to teach a university course in basic computer networking for mostly non-technical students. I found the content to be useful for this purpose. Computer networking is a technical subject, but this book covered relevant topics without being overly technical. Numerous instances of practical information as well as real-life examples were provided.I did not find any teaching aids for this book, but it did not appear to be advertised as a textbook, so I don't consider that a deficiency. You would have to created your own as I did if you want it for teaching. The only negative thing I can think to mention is that it lacks a chapter about wireless networking, which I consider to be a major networking service now.I have used other books that were described as "basic", but were really anything but.

Informative and generalized. Some repeating on issues, probably for importance, or to fill space.
