Panasonic KX-T7730 Telephone White

Designed to be used with a Panasonic PBX (Private Branch Exchange), otherwise known as the Panasonic KX-TA824 Advanced Hybrid Analog Telephone System Control Unit, these telephones with LCD screens, are attractive and perform well. But unless you have significant experience programming phones and phone control systems, these are not just plug and play. They involve a lot of planning and programming. However, for a small business or an advanced home telephone system these phones, when connected to the control unit, offer many advanced phone features. They can include making room-to-room calls, transferring calls from one room or phone to another, conference calling internally or externally and communicating with an intercom at a door or gate. Lights on the phone can can be programmed to show which extensions are busy and which outside lines are in use. The twelve buttons with lights can be programmed for choosing outside lines or extensions and for controlling an electric door lock or a powered gate. Standard CAT-3 (four conductor) wiring is all that is required for all of these advanced features.

Bought this hoping it would replace a broken set (KX-T 7335) that was over 10 years old. I was kind of worried that it wouldn't work. It arrived almost immediately and plugged right in. The PBX system (intercom) worked well and was easy to label--I just pressed the buttons and they rang to the other phones so I knew how to label them. So glad this worked and thankful it came so soon.

This Panasonic PBX is probably one of the most cost effective phone systems around. The KX-T7730 is the lowest priced supported phone in the Panasonic family but it serves the purpose to support the features of the KX-TA824. It is a plug an play device, it just needs the 2 pair wiring to the KX-TA824, it is polarity insensitive, so the wiring is quite easy. This phone can be set on top of a desk or wall mounted with a standard wall plate. The one disadvantage that I found with this phone, particularly when wall mounted, is the contrast of the display which is rather limited. The display has a fixed tilt and the angle of view reduces the contrast when mounted on the wall. The phone is well constructed and I have witnessed a few accidental drops without damage. The combination of the 7730 and the 824 is a combination that is hard to beat from the price and features viewpoint.

The phone only came with instructions in Japanese. We are unable to program it as a result.

I bought one of these to replace an older phone of the same model. I did not notice when ordering that the phone design has actually been changed. The old model had programmable buttons on both the right and left for a total of 24. This phone only has 12 programmable buttons. It was less expensive and I'm guessing this is one reason why. If you don't need the extra buttons, this phone is fine. If you do need them, I have also seen this phone still available (at a higher price) with the 24.

It is not a phone i can use for personal use.

My guess this was some pull from a existing system but it works perfectly and came very clean. i did have to use a DESI label for the label because it came with no paper insert but i had them anyway so no biggy

Nice Phone. I had a similar phone at my office which after 10 long years, stopped working. So searched for the same item and found it on amazon at competitive price. Phone is nice and have many features compared to some in the same category. Panasonic is a very famous Japanese brand and reliable since ages. It has multifunctions and voice clarity is great. Amazons delivery was nice and on time.
