NapierEnterprises Sportz Truck Tent III for Full Size Regular Bed Trucks (for Dodge Ram Model)

I use this tent with my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The set up is relatively easy. I did a practice set up and after that it was easy to remember. The quality is very good, I haven't had any problems with it at all. I've used it in the desert in Moab, Utah and up in the mountains of Northern California and it was great protection from the elements in both places. I have a TruXsport cover on my truck bed and it doesn't affect the fit at all. It would work with rails too since the straps would slip right under them. It would fit on a slightly larger bed as well. I have an airbedz matress that fits right in the tent and it's a great combination. Very comfortable. I would highly recommend this tent. Keeps you safe from the scorpions and snakes!

I bought this for my 05 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed. I use it in the desert and its really nice being off the cold sand and up in my truck, it feels safer.I gave it 4/5 because the pole that goes in the middle on the inside, elastic broke that strings the pole together after the first use! I didn't even drop the pole, I was folding it up and noticed a section was on the ground.If you buy this, be very delicate with the poles!Also the fly screen in the entrance looks like its going to tear any day. It's stretched out due to the way the tent is mounted and im sure its fine, I would just hate it to rip.The awning is very nice, creates a nice bit of shade.It gets windy in the duster which worries me but I found if I park my truck facing the wind, it will go over the windshield and over the top of the tent no problem. It's very rigid. I have had to roll up the awning before, just because I'd hate anything to happen to it.The strap protectors seem more trouble then they are worth. I am very picky about my truck so I put blue painters tape where the straps would rub. It's probably not necessary for out in the woods but in the sandy desert, I won't take my chances.The inside has a few nice pockets . I'm considering a mattress for the truck bed but right now I use a 6 inch pice of foam from my old mattress.It's not difficult to set up, just a bit awkward.Taking it down is pretty easy also, unless its windy, then it's a nightmare. My advice would be to remove all of the poles, fold them up and place them In the middle of the truck bed on top of the tent, using their weight to keep the tent down, and fold the tent up over the poles.I would recommend this to a friend. My buddy saw mine and ordered one that night. It's a great idea. I figured this would hold me over for a few desert seasons until I can afford a toy hauler

My husband said that he can't say anything bad about it. He used it for hunting.

Fit was good for my 2020 GMC 2500 HDWe did a test fit in driveway first which is good advice, we managed to crack the long green pole at entrance, I called the Napier customer service rep ( what a pleasant lady) told her what happened, got new improved pole (3 “ shorter) I a few days
