This lock replaced one that was just worn out. It was easy to follow instructions to install. I did not rekey the lock to my existing keys because I needed to change it anyway.

Received a dirty used box with a an obviously old used dead bolt. All scratched up. No instructions. No actual packaging just thrown in some little box. Rediculous!

Has all inclusive hardware with round and square strikes

Had to install upside down as it wouldn’t work right side up. But it works.

I had a Kwikset Handle set for my front door. After 10 years of heavy use, the lock cylinder broke. The key cylinder popped out and parts went everywhere so it couldn't be fixed. I didn't want to replace the entire handle set; I only needed to replace the deadbolt part. I have always used Kwikset and never had an issue with their hardware until now. Visually, this deadbolt was identical to the one that broke. But after receiving and installing this lock, it is clearly not of the same quality. The cylinder is loose (wiggles) but is stiff when you turn the key. Everything is as tight as I can make it. The knob to lock the deadbolt from the inside feels lighter and cheaper than the original. Thinner metal. Overall, the entire unit weighs less than the original. I will use this one until it breaks, because I have no doubt it will break. And then I will go with a different brand.

Easy to install for sure I don't know about the durability yet.
