End Grain Balsa Core 1/2" (Rigid & Uncoated) from CoreLite (Pack of 2 Sheets)

These panels are marketed as being 24" x 24", what I received was one panel being 23.5 x 23.5, and the other was 23.5 x 25 with a corner broken off. Packaging was minimal, as it was only wrapped in a single layer of cardboard with no padding. The edges are so rough and crooked (see pictures) these panels will end up being 23 x 23 once cleaned up. Additionally, one of the panels had 3 large knots/holes. The product description says "Our BALSASUD Core is of truly remarkable quality." I find this claim to be a stretch at best. Panels are usable, but don't count on these being the advertised size if you need every inch.

Used this to core a 3 inch hole in my sailboat's cabin top. Easy to work with and worked perfectly for the task. Note it is a solid piece, which is what I wanted, but would not work so well for larger curved surfaces without additional work.

Both pieces had splits and delaminations even though the packaging was in good shape. I was able to repair and trim out most of the damage but there are still voids. There was not much care given to the glue-up of the pieces. If this is to be used as a core for fiberglass then who cares. If you want this to use in an application where the balsa is visible then not great.

Not square, very rough cut. Slightly warped. Packaged badly. Both panels Arrived cracked. It was easier for me to glue it back together than to return. Gorilla glue stained it badly. Except for the YouTube video about speaker building, I could find no use at all for this product.Needs covered and hidden.

I needed only a fraction of the amount I bought, I wish they sold smaller quantity. This vendor was only one I can find for this product. Quality of product was great. Don't understand why some people complain so much over minor imperfections. You will never see any blemish when used as core replacement.

Poorly packed and poor quality. Just have a look at the photos. Both boards arrived terribly cracked. Both had gouges in them and void spaces. I sent them back because I could not use them.
