Perfect Solution for Adding Gigabit Ports to Route10
Excellent point! Let me revise the review to emphasize that best practice: Perfect Solution for Adding Gigabit Ports to Route10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As network installers deploying Alta Labs equipment for SMB and residential clients, these H!Fiber 1G SFP to RJ45 modules have become a staple in our installation kit. We use them with the Route10 router to convert the SFP+ ports into additional gigabit Ethernet ports when our clients don't need 10G speeds. Why these are essential for our Route10 deployments: The Route10 only has 4 built-in RJ45 ports (2 with PoE+), which isn't always enough for our smaller installations. By using one of these SFP modules for the WAN connection, we free up all 4 RJ45 ports for LAN use - giving us maximum flexibility without needing to add a separate switch. This is best practice and how we configure most of our deployments. Our standard configuration: WAN connection via SFP module (frees up all RJ45 ports for LAN) 2 PoE+ ports for AP6 access points 2 additional gigabit ports for other network devices Still have one SFP+ slot available for future expansion Real-world performance: Plug and play with the Route10 - recognized instantly Solid gigabit speeds (1000Mbps) for all our standard use cases Cool running and reliable - we've had zero failures across multiple deployments Auto-negotiation works flawlessly with various ISP equipment Installation benefits: Using SFP for WAN is best practice - maximizes available RJ45 ports for LAN Keeps installations simple and clean for smaller deployments 4-pack pricing is great value - we keep extras in stock Compatible with the Alta Labs ecosystem perfectly No switch needed for most small deployments (under 6 drops) Our typical use cases: Small offices with 4-5 wired devices plus Wi-Fi (Route10 + 2 APs via PoE) Residential clients who need a few drops plus wireless coverage Any deployment where gigabit WAN speeds are sufficient Clean, professional installs without unnecessary equipment Why we choose 1G over 10G modules: For the majority of our Route10 installations, clients don't have multi-gig internet and don't need 10G speeds. These 1G modules are: More affordable than 10G copper transceivers Lower power consumption (important for the fanless Route10) Run cooler - less heat stress on the router Perfect for typical gigabit fiber or cable connections Build quality: Well-constructed modules with good heat dissipation. The compact design fits perfectly in the Route10's SFP+ slots. We've deployed these in various environments with consistent performance. Value for installers: The 4-pack is perfect for keeping inventory. At this price point, we can afford to stock these and use them on every Route10 deployment. Using SFP for WAN has become our standard practice - it maximizes port efficiency and keeps installations clean. Pro tip: Always use the SFP slot for your WAN connection instead of tying up an RJ45 port. This gives you all 4 RJ45 ports for LAN devices, and two of those have PoE+ for access points. It's the smartest way to configure the Route10 for maximum flexibility. Compatibility notes: Works great in the Route10's SFP+ ports (SFP+ ports are backward compatible with SFP modules). We've also used these in Alta Labs switches when needed - total ecosystem compatibility. For network installers doing Route10 deployments - these are essential. Use one for your WAN connection and maximize your available LAN ports. Simple, reliable, cost-effective configuration that we use on nearly every install. Highly recommended for professional installers!

Works well, once you find the right driver.
The 1000Base-T copper Ethernet version of this SFP transceiver works well, once you get the right drivers installed. For Linux, I needed to load the Marvell kernel module (kmod-phy-marvell) in order for the device to be recognized and initialized. After that, everything went smoothly, with the corresponding network interface being automatically created and brought up upon cable insertion.

Cisco Business 350 Compatible
Worked just fine with an older Cisco Business 350 switch. Extended it's life.

Working just fine
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These have been in production for quite awhile now with no CRC errors, no packet loss and no failures. They are working exactly as expected.

Works great with Unifi.
Works as intended. Great price for the two. I'm glad to hear that the product works as advertised for Unifi and that you found the price to be great! It's always nice to find products that not only meet your expectations but also come at a reasonable price.

Add More Ports To Your Switch
I have a couple UniFi 8 port PoE switches that were running out of ports, by adding these SFP to RJ45 transceivers, I essentially added additional ports to my switches for $11 per port (I put one in my 48 port switch too!) In my case I use them for the uplink / downlink between switches, where I don’t need PoE, leaving the PoE+ ports open for cameras. They’re easy to install, but do read the little booklet, there’s a clip you must open to put them in or take them out. I quickly installed this 4 pack and was back up and running, I have 1Gbps, but if you have faster SFP+ (2.5Gbps) they have transceivers for those too. Good buy in my book (or switch).

Direct plug and play with dell 6200 series powerconnect switch and intel x520. No issues at all, connection is stable via 250m os2.

Además de las marcas indicadas, preguntando con ellos indican si los es para modelos concretos de otras más. Mejor relación calidad-precio del mercado, veremos la durabilidad.

Always work perfectly, I note they no longer come in a tin, but a plastic bag which is a shame as the tins are useful, and not nice having more plastic packaging to dispose of, but all good otherwise.
