Yes, it's crappy plastic, and the included strap barely stays on the thing. But they do send an extra battery! Warning: do NOT slide the battery tray in upside-down - you will not be able to retrieve it. I did this accidentally (it's not marked very well) and had to use an automotive flat-feeler gauge to stick in the slot so the tray would release back out.All of that said, it works with my Canon T6i. It only has one job - the same thing that happens when you push the shutter button. Mine didn't work right away. I don't know if that was due to the camera or the remote not doing the what they were supposed to but after a few minutes, voila'! - focus and *click*. Remember, you have to setup the camera (every time) to use any infrared remote; it's in the drive section of the touch screen - "remote & timer" function.

I was a little nervous about this purchase at first, but the price was so good I had to give it a try. It took me a second to figure out how to make the remote connect to my camera, but after searching a "how to" video on youtube, it was simple. I have had a few challenges with the remote when my hand is in certain positions or I am too far from the camera, but otherwise, this remote has done exactly what I needed.

It works, barley better be very close to your camera, guess you get what you pay for. It does kind of work, i like it for long exposures; for portraits better get some practice cause this thing has like 3 feet of range maybe

As the title reads, no instructions. it does work on my t7i but not without a complicated process. Thanks to Youtube bloggers for your work
