Amerimax 4601 Downspout Extension, No Size, Black

We had a gutter issue by a flower garden and this item fixed the issue. Easy to use, durable and good value. It fit well with our guttering and movement water where it needed to go.

I needed to hide a drain line for a new gutter downspout under flagstones. The shape and size of this gutter drain was just right. The plastic is strong and the sections snap securely together. Good value for the price of the product and easy to assemble.

I had serious erosion from a lot of heavy rain. Using this low profile extension, and the StealthFlow Amerimax-4631#2 (45-90 degree curve), I have finally solved my issues. I tried pavers, sand, bricks, dirt; just about everything I had in my garage. But the rain at my downspouts just kept washing out my efforts, or redirecting the problem. By the wooden fence I have the long straight piece extended far enough out to disperse water. In the front, I also extended the water over the turf and onto the grass. At a corner, the worst mess, I used both the straight and curved pieces to redirect to flow and even have grass growing back that had been washed out for years. These are very sturdy and I don't expect to have to replace them every year as with the standard "flexible" round tubes that are so rigid they split frequently. Why they don't make them with more bendable material is a mystery to me. Highly recommend these two items. 👍👍

I've used this system for my gutters to move water away from house for several years. It has held up great & was simple to install. It also allowed me to landscape over it and not have the giant humps that you get with the round material. The only thing I ran into is that the support plastic (round areas along the top/bottom) hold water and make a great place for mosquitoes to lay eggs. I got around this by drilling a hole in the middle of the round spot so that the water drains. This has no impact on the drainage since the "support" is not open to the inside. If you use stakes/fabric nails to hold the sections down this won't be necessary.

This should be a great solution; however, did not work in my situation. I have a round downspout and have been unable to find a part to adapt to round. Thought I found it but turns out, the round downspout is exactly the same size as round plastic part and cannot connect to each other. It should work fine with a rectangle downspout.

Actually, I gifted my young new neighbor with these as a housewarming gift, to solve MY problem of THEIR water runoff ruining my townhouse property and foundation. Probably THE best home improvement purchase I've made which is not directly for my house and it's working like a charm! These have saved me greater financial headaches and add to both our property values. They simply disappear under the mulch and are therefore a very attractive solution. LOVE IT!

The platform Factor makes it Fly flat on the ground and is easier to step over as you're doing yard work

Great product for light duty applications. The other line of StealthfFlow, the 4600 model, is better built and better suited for using if you plan on driving over it (riding lawn mower) or putting much weight on it; don't know the weight limitations though. The other line is a higher profile (not by much), the top is narrower than the bottom and the edges angle up to a flat top. The plastic is heavier and there are two braces that are on the inside.BEWARE: Amazon has the products mixed together under "Frequently Bought Together" heading. This is the 4601 (Downspout Extension) and it's companion piece is the 4621 (Extender) & 4631 (Corner). The 4600 downspout extension goes with the 4620 extender. They are NOT interchangeable, found out the hard way.
