Buy it, but recognize the limitations of what you're buying
The packaging. I thought other reviewers were exaggerating. Expect to get this with some bags busted open, and have fun sorting out the different sized nuts and bolts. For such a small investment on the part of the manufacturer, they could have packed it in such a way that everything arrived sorted. This is beyond frustrating to encounter in 2016. You might want to consider buying Innovative Components AH-COM Thread Detective / Thread Identifier Inch. and Metric Combo Set with Ruler Attached for doing your sorting, or for adding hardware to the bins over time. The quality of the hardware. It's *okay* but it isn't terribly great. If you need to replace light duty hardware in a variety of sizes, this is your kit. I'm confident I'll use a lot of this stuff over time in various miscellaneous projects. But for those times when you're going to need anything remotely heavy duty (automotive, machines, something heavy, etc.) look for something better, or buy something application specific. I'm satisfied with what I've got, but I recognize its limitations. The bins. I actually think they're going to outlast any and all of the hardware as I replace it in the future with better stuff. Screwed plywood to the garage wall, then the horizontal plastic mounting pieces to the plywood. *Note! The mounting pieces are not going to work mounted between studs, the holes aren't 16 or 24 on center (or anything around there where you'd hit wood) and need continuous support along the back for screws in every hole every few inches. As long as you know what you're getting into, it's fine, and they're holding up just fine for me.

Exceptional value
I became interested in keeping a few nuts and bolts in my workshop after having to make frequent trips to the hardware store to fix anything. The nearest hardware store is a 10 minute drive away, and unless you buy in a quantity of 100 there's a substantial markup, so it's not unusual to spend $5 on just a few nuts and bolts. It made sense to keep my own stock. The nuts, bolts, and washers themselves all seem to be of decent quality. I haven't used them for anything too demanding, but they would seem to hold up to anything you might need them for in a pinch. The other reason I purchased this set, the plastic storage bins, leave a bit to be desired. They are flimsy and have a lot of flashing and sharp edges. However, they serve their purpose well. Each bin is mountable via a plastic strip that can be screwed into a wall or sheet of plywood and holds a row of 4. It is possible to configure the set in a few different ways, but plan on spending at least an hour mounting everything level and even. They will also stack on top of each other so you can also stick them in a cabinet or on a shelf. Despite what others have mentioned, I have had no problem with the labels. My only real complaint with the set is that it comes with a few 5/8 bolts rather than any 1/4 bolts. I don't see much use for these unless you're making a skyscraper or repairing a streetlamp. However I combined a few of the bolts in one bin and used the extras to hold 1/4 nuts, bolts, and washers which I purchased separately (which alone cost about $30). Otherwise this is in my opinion a great value and has saved me many trips to the store.

Not a bad deal
It's not a bad deal for a base fastener storage capability. I ordered both the metric and SAE versions. All the hardware showed up. No instructions so scratched my head a few times but easy enough to figure out what was required. Attaching the bins to a base (in my case a piece of plywood), mounting the base to the wall, sticking on the lables and then sorting the correct bolts and nuts into the bins took two to three hours to accomplish. After everything is in you'll probably want to take a trip to your hardware store and stock up on some of the more frequent use items - for me the 5/16" and 3/8" - your milage may vary. There is nothing worse than breaking off a project and making a home depot run because you dont have the right bolt/nut so for me these storage aids are a great deal. I'm giving this a four star because of no instructions and maybe a bit skimpy on 5/16" and 3/8" hardware but this is really no big deal for most buyers.

Product is good, the packaging not-so-much
The assortment of nuts, bolts. and washers is exactly what I wanted. No problems there. However, the way the product was packaged and shipped make it look like it was kicked here from China. 9 of the bags were broken open, spilling the contents all over the big box. There are no instructions on how to mount the "hangers" for the individual bins. I'll just have to guess. The hangers were broken in 11 places but can be mounted in such a way as to make them mostly functional. I would order this product again even knowing what I know now. I would have liked to know how much extra effort it was going to take to install this product as an organized set of bins to be placed on my shop wall.

I am on my second set of this hardware. ...
I am on my second set of this hardware. Having them on hand in the shop has save me countless trips to the hardware store. When my first set finally ran low, I bought a second one about 4 years ago. Takes some fiddling with initial setup of the bins and sorting the hardware, but worth it when you need a specific nut or bolt and know exactly where to find it. They are of adequate quality for most general purpose use.

Great set of nuts and bolts!
This is a great starter set with lots of options for bolt sizes. I'm always looking for a spare in my "spare" bolt, washer, nut bin and always struggle, so I decided to get this set. It'll take a while to put it together, especially if you want to hang it on the wall like I did. I found a space and did both the SAE and metric models side-by-side and they look pretty good. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours screwing them to a wall. Also, they aren't stud spacing friendly and I was only able to get one screw for each bracket into a stud, but I think it'll be enough. This is also my hat wall: hats that I have found or have been given to me.
