I purchased the Amazon Basics 13mm yoga mat looking for something with good cushioning, and this mat definitely delivers on that front. It's quite thick and provides a very comfortable surface for my yoga practice, especially for poses that put pressure on joints.One of the things I really appreciate is that it lays out flat almost immediately after unrolling, with no annoying curled edges to deal with. The grip is also excellent – it stays firmly in place on my tiled floor throughout my practice, without any slipping or sliding, which is crucial for stability and safety.While the 13mm thickness is very comfortable, it is quite substantial. For most general yoga practices, I think a 6mm or 8mm thickness might be more versatile and easier to carry around. However, if maximum cushioning and comfort are your priority, or if you have specific joint concerns, this 13mm mat is a great option.Overall, it's a good quality, comfortable, and grippy mat, though potential buyers should consider if the 13mm thickness is suitable for their specific needs compared to slightly thinner options.

It's more of a yoga mat and is very much suitable if you perform light exercises that does not involve jumping. For strenuous cardiovascular physical activities ,the mat slips and does not hold well to the floor. The anti slip mechanism is clearly not working. The top is cushioned and thick , it's also easy to carry, fold and unfold. Cleaning is not much required. The quality of the mat is good, but overall the mat is not the best in the category. Not worth the price!!

Good mat

I was really disappointed with this yoga mat. After just a few uses, it tore easily, which is unacceptable for something that's supposed to support your workouts. On top of that, the smell is awful-like burning rubber making it hard to use. It felt cheap and uncomfortable, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a durable or pleasant yoga experience. Definitely not worth the money.

I’m a senior and at this age, my own bones tend to prick me unexpectedly - it’s part of growing old..😀😀 I found the thickness very, very helpful due to its cushioning effect. One comment to add - the mat doesn’t grip the floor as my older one does… but I think the grip will improve with usage and in any case, it’s not a dealbreaker.

I bought in last September 2024. Using daily as i am a yoga instructor taking 4 to 5 classes on this mat. Very comfortable , no back pain, no knee pain. Do not skid when going in vinyasa flows. Little scrap are here and there beacuse of nails. Otherwise i am satisfied.
