RM-18/2 21-Inch Cutting Mat for all 18-Inch Trimmers,Gray

Great product and good replacement for my used cutter.

I purchased the CARL Professional Rotary Paper Trimmer 18 inch with all the replacement blades and extra cutting mats as a gift and the recipient has now used the unit heavily for a respectable amount of time and absolutely adores it. I carefully researched paper trimmers online for quite a while before making my final decision and I'll admit that I was a bit hesitant considering some of the negative reviews I was seeing about this particular company, but I proceeded because I was attracted by the number of accessories available for this series. I figured it was worth the risk. Well, I'm pleased I made the decision I made because it has already paid for itself over and over again in the quality of its construction and performance and the joy my gift recipient is getting from it. I would purchase another CARL product again in a heartbeat.

Working as a photographer I had use a few trimmers over the years, but none were without faults and didn't last at all. When I saw this one in Amazon few years ago I ordered it. To tell the truth, It is called a "CARL" trimmer and since my first name is CARL I had to have it. Never been happier with a trimmer/cutter in my 82 years on Space Marble Earth! Oh, I have told a few friends I invented it and that is the reason it is called a "Carl Professional Rotary Trimmer"!! No one believed that either. Do yourself a favor and git ya one!!!

These mats have the circular wheel knife dig into them a little, allowing a clean, precision cut. They need to have a little give, to provide resistance against the knife, and not wear until many hundreds of cuts. The first one on my machine lasted two years with thousands of cuts. Standard product, well built and not expensive for what it does.

They are the cutting mats for the Carl 18-Inch Rotary Trimmer. No problems with them. Carl rotary trimmers and their parts are good quality. Just that the seller charged me $23.13+tax for the pack. While Carl manufacture website charges $11.32 (no tax)+$5.00 shipping The seller charged over double what the Carl manufacture website charges. I bought 3 packs which I paid $36.34 more than the Carl manufacture website would of charged. Which is over double amount of money that Carl manufacture website charges for the same item. Some of this is my fault for not checking the manufacture website first. Just gives me a bitter taste in purchasing with sellers on Amazon. Since we, customers, should be able to trust that we are getting a fair price on Amazon. Lesson learned.

I like my CCRL cutter and based upon the build quality expect that the cutter will last for years. I bought the replacement cutting matts and spare blades to keep on hand and to extend the life of the cutter, don’t expect that I will need to replace the CARL cutter for years ensuring a good return on my investment.

The product worked perfect.

A perfect replacement for the Fellowes Electron 180 cutting pad, which is no longer available. It fits perfectly. Great buy!
