Just What We Needed to Avoid the Ball Going in the Poison Ivy
We bought this yard guard to avoid our ball rolling down into a wooded area that has tons of poison ivy which it had been doing regularly when we first got the hoop. Set up was easy on our Goalrilla FT60 hoop, not sure how it would fit with other brands but it does come with a variety of different size adapters for various pole diameters. It stops the majority of deflected passes and missed shots and folds up quickly against the pole for times when we are not using the court (which is usually when we don't have kids, nephews and nieces and others who like to play basketball over). I was concerned that the yard guard might not look attractive but it looks fine. We are very pleased with this purchase after a couple weeks usage and have only had one ball make it to the poison ivy - that from an attempted bounce shot in the game Horse. Will see how it stands up over time.

This works great and and is a high quality product.
This works great and is a high-quality product. It helps block the basketball from going into our yard. My son loves it. It has good length and height so that it protects the ball from going into the yard. It was so easy for me and my son to assemble. It works so good. Goalrilla is a great brand it this is another great product by them. It also came with a bonus little pad. The net is very strong. Very high quality metal for the poles. I recommend this to anyone who has the same problem as I did.

Good idea
Good idea and multiple part sizes to make sure it works for you. The adhesive backed cushions fall off easily, but no big deal I think

No more worrying about the neighbors cars
We recently installed a Goalrilla hoop and the kids lauch balls from across the driveway only to airball it out and the ball takes off right next to the neighbors driveway and of course the cars are parked right in the direction the balls go. After the second observed "event", I urgently went looking for something and was lucky to find this. Overall the construction seems fine and the netting seem heavy duty. It goes up and down pretty easy although the kids need help unstrapping the top two straps but not a big deal. Installation was pretty straight forward and I did it myself using one of those adjustable ladders. I now have no more worries about one of the kids clobbering the cars and dealing with that. Overall, I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you get and all the extra brackets they provide seem wasteful as they just hit the trash and I am sure that adds to the cost.

Works great for Pro Shot.
I have a ProShot basketball system and this was the closest I could find for a yard guard. While not designed for the pro shot (6” x 6”) post, it fit on. The only part that doesn’t have as much tension is the net connection at the top of the post. Not a deal breaker, and still does what it’s supposed to. The bottom pad fits ok, but the proshot one can be cut to work still Take some time to line up your pole pad and the Velcro straps for the yard guard to get the best fit. You will have extra parts as they give you multiple mounting bracket sized hardware.

Don’t waste your time or money!
This is junk!!! I actually enjoy putting things together but this is nearly impossible! I had to call and get more pieces sent before I could even complete the first step. They made it seem like it was very common, so why not include it with original packaging?? After I finally got the extra washers, I was still stuck because they are suppose to stick to the bracket but they just fall off! It’s suppose to create a tight fit for the tube but every time the tube touches the washer it falls! So frustrating!!

Santa brought this item to help the basketball stay on our driveway and not roll down the hill where it tends to be muddy. Our goal is actually made by Goliath, but this Goalrilla product still works. Our post is only 4x4", but I just added a 1" block of wood on two sides and the included 5x5" bracket system works just fine. It's very sturdy and this is a really well-built product. Installation was fairly easy (took me about an hour by myself) and the instructions were reasonably clear. I think this net will last for a long time. The only wish my kids had is that if you have a muddy spot directly under the backboard (like where the main post is in the ground), the net seems to drop the ball right there. So, you made an alternative to help the ball roll back onto your driveway instead of the grass/mud. But, overall, a great product.

Frustrating and Costly!
This net does exactly what it’s supposed to do when it is in tact, but unfortunately it is cheaply made, despite its high cost, and this is the second one that we have had fall apart in less than a year. The latest net stated falling apart around 6 months, starting with the straps to secure it when not in use falling off, the rods in the base continually coming loose, the net coming loose from the base. Now the top right side has torn from the anchor at the top, resulting in many of the basketballs getting past the net, and unfortunately at our house that means they roll down the hill into the river and we have lost countless basketballs. We don’t have another option other than to keep purchasing these, but it is beyond frustrating and very costly.
