Great way to save the lease fee Comcast wants to charge. Works great with XFinity Internet. Setup was a breeze. I did have an issue with my wi-fi printers dropping out. I would have to restart my desktop computer for them to connect again. I called Tech support, the gentleman was very knowledgeable and resolved the issue with a setting in the admin section. Printers have not dropped out since.

So far it's working better than the product I was renting from Xfinity. My only issue, is that it would not connect through the app I was directed to use for set up, even though all of my devices were connected, so I had to contact Xfinity which is never fun.

THERE'S NO PHYSICAL WPS BUTTON and no owners manual was included. Apparently, a senior citizen such as myself now needs a degree in electronic engineering in order to pair my printer and wifi extenders. In order to pair, it is necessary to press the reset button for 30 seconds, and enter the service menu using ''admin'' and '' password'', which it won't accept. It says its the WRONG PASSWORD. it worked fine for us until I needed to print something, then when my new wifi extenders arrived and I was unable to pair them, that's when I decided to return the darned thing. It's a shame- it had a strong output signal, but still not strong enough to reach my security cameras 150 feet away. Which is why I need powerful range extenders.

What can I say about this cable modem. It is an interesting shape, a bit unorthodox. The Android app made it relatively easy to set up, Xfinity website helped of course. It was up and running as a replacement in about an hour after unboxing. I have some concerns about the heat sink in the unit (I have watched a few failure videos that demonstrated the heat sink is poorly made and attached) but it doesn't seem to be running particularly hot, at least it doesn't feel hot on the outside of the unit. Overall I find the unit to be more reliable and a bit easier to use/set up than my prior cable modem.

Provides magnificent Wi-Fi throughout the house and way out into my yard, saving me from $20-$60/month on my Cell Phone Gigs used. It also saves me from my Cable Company's $14/month Rental Fees (this ARRIS SBG8300 is actually free after the first 11-12 months, from No Cable Bills)! Excellent Cable Viewing from the basic Network News, Live Sports and to every Streaming Service available. My TV screen has a clear, crisp sound and picture. The only problems I've run into, since my purchase 9 months ago, were directly from my Cable and Internet Provider. I chose a Refurbished Unit and a lot of Insurance but, I have had Zero issues with my device. ⏭️ The ARRIS SBG8300 DOCSIS 3.1 MODEM/ ROUTER was an excellent choice. ✴️ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
