Q: Does this lather up like a shaving cream? What are the ingredients?

Yes. After its applied with fingertips or shaving brush a dense foam develops. Please find the list of the ingredients bellow: Aqua/Water/Eau, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Parfum/Fragrance, Phenethyl Alcohol, Panthenol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Creatine, Sesamum Indicum Seed Oil/Sesame Seed Oil, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Lepidium Meyenii Root, Citric Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Capryloyl Glycine.

Q: How many head shavings will this last?

Have used product with shaving brush application for 4-5 years. Based upon my average of 5 face shavings per week , think it's reasonable to expect at least 6+ months of head shaves (assuming a few days between shaves). Excellent product.

Q: Can the texture be compared with anything? See comments about softness and would like to know which is preferable - scooping some out in a bowl?

My husband loves this shave cream. He just touches his shave brush into the cream and it will do his whole face. I have used this to shave me legs and loved that it made my legs very soft. He said the texture is like cool whip. No need to scoop out at all. You use very little. This jar will last my husband close to a year and he shaves every day.

Q: Do you have a travel size? Or a similar product for men in travel size?

This is the only size. You could transfer some to a smaller container?
