When it comes to mayonnaise, I’m a bit of a purist—but 365 by Whole Foods Market, Mayonnaise Light Organic completely surprised me. At just 11.2 fl oz, this little jar is a game-changer for anyone who loves classic mayo flavor without the calorie guilt. ✨ Texture & Taste: Smooth, creamy, and spreads like a dream! Good mayo. I do like the squeeze bottle but I wish it was even bigger. The price is good.

What it lacks is flavor and acidity. But that can easily be fixed by adding a little lemon juice (not too much) and shaking it up. Really helps...because the biggest flaw is the lack of acidity. But about as good an ingredient list as you'll find for a Lower Fat Organic Mayo (really not much competiton out there). And the price is right. I use with Wild Planet No Salt Added Organic Chicken along with dried garlic, dried onion, and dried rosemary, along with lots of black pepper to make a nice little spread for Mary's Gone Crackers.

Not real mayo

Quality oils are delicious and nutritious. As "light" product whole foods 365 organic chose a mayonnaise recipe that includes certified organic powders of garlic, onion and paprika along with rosemary extract which adds a very subtle flavor as well in addition to lemon juice, vinegar and mustard (which are standard Ingredients in home made mayonnaise). These additional ingredients compensate for the flavor loss resulting from the reduced oil content. Is the texture different? Of course it is. It is partially thickened with corn starch and guar gum (a kind of fiber used as a thickener in food stuffs that in this instance is in a very small amount that is not texturally noticeable on the palate). While in was, at first, skeptical of the texture given the textural variation in appearance-looks a bit curdly- but was NOT at all to the touch so tasted a bit on its own and was very pleasantly surprised by both the taste and texture. No notice of textural difference on sandwich-standard configuration of mayo on bread only. Have not yet attempted to make a "salad" type dish/filling/dressing/sauce such as potato or pea salad or tuna/chicken salad sandwich filling or any mayonnaise based dressing or sauce (as in dipping,etcetera) but will update if do.

Taste was so off that I thought it had gone bad. I had purchased 2 bottles, and both were same so assumed it was the taste. Bottle was sealed when I received it. I was looking for a mayo without soybean oil and the ingredients in this seemed good. I wouldn't use it for risk of getting sick (because I honestly thought it had gone bad).

I disagree with the negative review. This certainly isn't the "foulest" tasting mayonnaise I've ever tried. Its fluffy, creamy & with a bit of a tang almost like Miracle whip but combined with Kraft and Hellmans. It's creamy but fluffy. I was looking for a light mayonnaise that had 5 grams of fat per tablespoon or less, didn't contain the preservatives "potassium sorbate" nor "sorbic acid" nor any artificial flavours or colors. Nor modified corn starch. And one that also wasn't made with no doubt rancid soybean oil and was made with a better quality oil. Organic was a bonus. This light mayo fits all of those requirements, is made with expeller pressed canola oil and has no artificial anything. It's even Organic. I researched all the different Mayo's available and the only ones that could've worked had about 11 grams fat per tablespoon. This light 365 organic mayo is perfect for a pregnant woman who doesnt want anything artifical and who can't have too much fat at one sitting lest morning sickness or heartburn worsens. If a woman with morning sickness doesn't dislike the taste of this mayo that's saying something quite contrary to the negative review. It's quite good and definitely much better than Spectrum vegan mayo imo. It's more like Miracle whip, Hellmans and Kraft mayos all combined but organic. I'm very pleased with this mayo and thrilled! Now I can eat mayo again without worrying about ingesting artificial garbage whilst pregnant. Thank heavens for this brand!

This calorie reduced mayo is delicious but very very pricey. The container is super small
