Star Universal Discharge Hose Kit, 1-1/4 Inch Hose with 1-1/2" and 1-1/4" Adapters, 24 feet

I'm not sure what this hose is supposed to be used for -- something to do with swimming pools? -- but I've found it to be perfect as an overflow outlet for my rainwater collection setups. You get the parts you need, including the all-important rubber gasket, and the hose's generous length allows you to direct the overflow well away from your home's foundation. You can even use it to water nearby trees and shrubs, or direct the overflow into a swale or storm drain. Works like a charm! When there's no rain in the forecast, it can be curled up (not too tightly) and stowed beside the rain barrels.

Has everything you need. Quality product at a very fair price. I decided on the hose instead of PVC piping so I had the flexibility of pulling the sump pump out for cleaning without disassembling the PVC piping.

Rainbarrel company said to use discharge house for the overflow. Tried using several different clamps to keep the hose attached tightly. A bit of extra work, we think it will work, now waiting for rain!

I am currently using this as a discharge line for a sump pump. I needed something flexible because of the location of the pump. This seems to be working well and is very durable. If it is used in the correct manner and you understand the possible limitations, it is definitely worth buying.
